Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arrived very early at 12.30 Sunday lunchtime for 1.30 jazz outside. Nobody near us. Social distancing. People started arriving and sitting behind us and elsewhere. 2.30 woman table cleaner comes and shouts at me and abuses me saying that I am going to get the...bar closed down due to me not social distancing. Didn't tell the young folk off that were sitting behind me, who should not have been there. Me and my husband were so upset we said we were leaving. Before I left I spoke to some friends and I was accused by the manageress that I was slagging off the bar and I was told to leave the premises. Abused twice. Where's kindness? Nothing was my fault. I was so depressed going home I felt like killing myself. Honestly. .the bar should be closed down due to abuse of customers. We were just 2 kind pensioners enjoying an afternoon of jazz in the sun. Ended up a miserable afternoon.More

The food menu is very basic. The small plates thing is literal a friend ordered the parmigiana and it was basically a bit of sauce on ciabatta slices. Underwhelming portion sizes. Will not be eating here again.

Not eaten here for a few years and previously found the food to be good. Popped in for brunch today and unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Every poached egg served was essentially hard boiled with a tiny amount of vinegary hollandaise. The only thing...not dry was the soggy muffin. I see no reason to return when there are so many good places in the area.More

We called in here Tuesday teatime for a drink before eating nearby. Have to say what a lovely chilled out place this is.Nice outside seating area, just started to rain as we got there,so had to sit inside with the sliding doors open. Pleasant ambiance, with background...music played at level where you could still have a conversion. We each had a pint of Pravha pilsner,£4 a pint so not badly priced. Will definately call in again.More

S7 This cafe raises funds for the local arts community. It is both a cafe and bar and also has its own theatre cinema and film. The cafe side has regular Guest menus so it is always changing. Saturday and Sunday has a its own...brunch menu which is very good . It has Wooden floors , tables and chairs. Plenty of space to access with buggys and wheelchairs. There is a disability toilet too. The Terrace out side is comfortable but from experience its fills quickly on good weather days. There are patio doors from the main cafe to the terrace which sits behind a tree and a wall from the side of the street. It is discreet from the road. Service, if I have a complaint, is shamaturish thou hospitality is good. they can be a bit slow even on a quiet day. It is an arts venue with films live music festivals program on line. Search seven club Leeds. Good bar, real ale, fonts of lagers, cider and in the fridge behind more beers and canned and bottled drinks of various kinds. Teas and coffees too.More

This is a great place to chill out and has a nice vibe. The food was really poor though. Stale bread. Tasteless soup. Jacket potato with hummus and Mediterranean veg came with minimal hummus and 4 small cubes of courgette. Simple menu that should have...been so easy to get right. Coffee pretty good though. I'd go back but would like more thought put into the food.More

I feel as though I have been robbed. £16.50 for two sandwiches and 2 coffees. I need to say though, the sandwiches were nothing - lettuce and tomatoes and a bit of tofu. The salad we got as a side was embarrassing - my dad...can make better salad. There was hardly any dressing and my sandwich/wrap was more salad than tofu. Bloody hell. I will never visit again.More

Travelled from Manchester to see a band on Sunday afternoon. I was interested in how they created and manafged this small community arts venue. We found it quite easily after negotiatig the horrors of Leeds' inner ring road, plenty of on-street parking, main road location....A good, quite intimate yet flexible venue. OK, a black box is a black box. Or is it. I could name a few that are cold and sterile but Seven Arts felt quite the opposite. The scale of the whole thing is very human, the space flexible, the cafe/bar comfortable and bright. The programme is extensive. Pity it's sixty miles away. I will be going back.More

Had lunch here - a jacket potato with baked beans & a cup of soup - 2 hours later I had bad stomach cramps & diarrhoea. I called the restaurant & left a message & only received a call back 3 days later. The lady...who called me told me it couldn’t possibly have been the food but probably a bug that’s going around; I’m not convinced. It’s a jolly, local meeting place & the staff are always very helpful. I just hope they take more care in the kitchenMore

We were advised of a half hour wait for food which didn’t feel like the end of the world....Except the staff looked miserable because of it! It was a sunny lunchtime and it would appear that they’d resorted to THE cheapest bread rolls Lidl could...ever supply. Shameful. The filling was rather tasty.More

This venue hosts loads of different events including jazz, film, quiz and comedy nights. You can have a meal in the cafe bar or pop in for coffee and cake.In short it's a multi purpose art space. If you happen to be in the area...on the last Wednesday of the month make sure you pop in for Silkys " kill for a seat* comedy nights. Tickets are great value for money and can be bought on the door if you've not booked in advance. He is very entertaining and friendly. There are 3 sections to the night opening act, new/emerging talent and s headline act all compared by silky himself. Went last night and had a great night - real laugh out loud fun. If you get there in time have a seat in the front row if you are brave enough!! Easy on street parking if you are nominated driver.More

Set back from the road behind some large trees, this is a hidden gem of a cultural resource close to the heart of Chapel Allerton. An arts venue, with a performance space at rear, you will find a full programme of daily events - stand-up,...Jazz, drama, film, music, poetry plus art on the walls. The bar is insulated from what's going on in the rear (though some Jazz is in the bar) and offers a quieter venue through the day and into the evening than most of the other local bars. A small but well-chosen selection of ales, beers, wine and gin and good coffee. A matter of taste, perhaps, but improving and extending the food offer would make this place perfect. As it is, a gem of a local resource that deserves to be better known and appreciated.More

It's a nice venue, and the coffee was good, so we were off to a good start. However, when our meals arrived we were both disappointed. My meal was covered in a very sweet sauce that rendered it pretty much inedible, and my partner's meal...was very bland. A shame, as it seemed like a nice spot.More

Popped in here at lunchtime on a whim as happened to be passing. There’s a nice little outdoor seating area if it’s warm and the inside area is light and airy. I chose the ranchero which was absolutely delicious - fresh and colourful. My husband...had the BLT sandwich and said it was very tasty. First time here during the day, but would definitely visit again.More
