I visited as a sole diner for the tasting menu referred to as the Permanent Collection together with the wine pairing. The table I was given could not have been better for someone on their own....at the end of the restaurant and able to people...More

We were greeted at the base of a department store and directed to a lift to the third floor. There welcomed and led to our table in a room decorated with graffiti style motifs. All the staff knew everything about every course. And they needed...More

After waiting over x3 months to get a table, we finally had the pleasure of having dinner at Man Behind the Curtain on Friday evening. On initial arrival in Flannels menswear we thought very strange, however we were shown to the lift that took up...More

I'm not going to repeat what others have said very well, but just advise you to go and enjoy an unusual and well designed dining experience. Amazing food, lovely staff and an appropriately quirky setting.

I had high hopes for The Man Behind The Curtain as it's high time Leeds had a chef and restaurant of this calibre! I can honestly say that the quality of the dishes was as good as I've had anywhere in the world, Michael O'Hare...More

Had the 12 tasting menu. This is definitely an experience and not a meat and 2 veg place. The décor is modern sparse, the waiters dressed with leather and buckles, the service very attentive and the food..!!!l Each course has its own plate and cutlery....More

We booked quite late on for our wedding anniversary so were pleasantly surprised to be able to get a lunchtime slot for TMBTC. I have to say this was the best food experience ever. The staff are amazing, all so polite and knowledgeable about each...More

Hi - the restaurant is right in the centre of the city and so there is the usual Premier Inns and Travel lodges. If you fancy Leeds faded glamour...the Queens by the train station is like stepping back...

£200 is more than plenty. We had taster menu, a bottle of pinot grigio, and two glasses of sake and it was less than £200 even with the service charge.

I treated 3 special family members and the bill came to £320. We still talk about the food we had to this day, worth every penny.
