Visiting friends who found this restaurant for lunch.. This place did not disappoint.
Really nice calm and friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent and well presented.
Would certainly come here again
On a trip to Salisbury which, as the locals will tell you, is not known by reputation for its dining, Thai Sarocha was the only place we returned to twice, during our week-long stay. It was a shade better than Anooka and a lot better...than Allium. (And if you look at both those venues, you will see why this is high-praise). The reason for that comparison - and you may think I am comparing apples and oranges - is about how Thai Sarocha delivers on its premise. Because Thai Sarocha promises authentic Thai food and it does it really, really well, without fuss or distraction. It delivers, giving you great food in a cosy setting, to make a really satisfying meal out. I had seen some reviews here querying too-small portion size: nonsense. The portions are as generous in Salisbury as they are in any other parish of England. The service was attentive and exemplary without being stifling, the atmosphere was relaxed, the booze reasonably priced (they do a lovely Prosecco, but also have Bollinger) and they even have some delicious New Forest-brand ice cream on the dessert menu. For the record, I and my wife enjoyed; Corn Cakes, Satay Chicken Skewers and Vegetable Spring Rolls to open, with Vegetable Penang curry and steamed rice for my good lady, while I had my Penang curry with King Prawn and Chicken with sticky rice for me. Delicious, satisfying, and moreish.More
We have been here before and I think last time we chose unwisely from the menu. This time we stuck to Thai dishes and were very happy we did. We sat down and were instantly offered thai prawn crackers with a dip – it was...a big basketful and we munched through these whilst perusing the menu.
We had a couple of starters – satay and salt and pepper squid. Both were a good-sized portion and very tasty. For our mains we had king prawn pad thai (always a favourite), a green chicken curry and sweet chilli fish. The fish was deep fried in batter and beautifully cooked – no tiny bites here it was in large pieces so the fish was perfection. The prawns in the pad thai were plentiful and it was very tasty and the curry was very mild and jam packed with chicken.
All in all a lovely meal and we certainly will return. Service is exceptional and the atmosphere buzzy even on a week night.More
Very very friendly
I loved the range and we were eight - everyone loved their choices, all of which were different.
Thanks to management and team
...we'll be back
Staff friendly. The food we had seemed to be small portions. The duck was over cooked & a distinct lack of it for the price paid. Food we had was nice but not much of it. Unfortunately we will not be visiting again
I ordered a large delivery for a party from Thai Sarocha. The communications beforehand were brilliant and when the food was on its way, they called to confirm they'd double checked the delivery was correct and when to expect it. I felt confident all the...way through my deallings with the lovely team there. The food itself was excellent. We had multiple different dishes from the menu and every dish was great.
I would definitely recommend!More
We had a meal here last night. We had been recommended to it by a friend and it didn’t disappoint.
Being Bank Holiday weekend, we booked online and shortly after received a text thanking us for our booking.
Service was attentive and polite, the food...was great and the prices reasonable.
The atmosphere and decor in the Thai Sarocha were also pleasant and all up we had a great meal and would definitely return.
