We ate out here tonight having booked a table outside for 6 of us. We are very conscious these are really tough times for the hospitality industry and wanted to show support and eat out locally.
It wasn't busy being a Monday night, and there...More
Booked a ‘ hut’ so that I could meet up outside with some of the family before Christmas. Food was tasty, mulled wine delicious and the waiter ( sorry didn’t catch his name) was very attentive. Despite the torrential rain, we all had a wonderful...More

Our pleasure Littlestat, and thanks for taking the time to feed back
This was our first evening meal out since March. The food was excellent, service superb and the efforts made by the staff to ensure we were effectively social distanced were greatly appreciated. This was very important as I have cancer and am on the extremely...More

Peter, thanks again for such lovely feedback and so pleased that you felt comfortable and relaxed - hope to see you again soon
Had a nice meal here, in a heated beach hut in their garden (great idea in these strange times).
Friendly staff, only gripes were they’d ran out of some stuff (ketchup, some desserts, etc) and it was bit on the pricey side (but glad to...More

Matticace ... sorry about the ketchup (not good) but thanks for taking the time to reply ... and as mentioned on Google reviews, we will check our pricing again ...
I've visited twice in the last 10 days and had a fantastic experience on both occasions, friendly and attentive staff and really nice food ( I recommend the fish). On both occasions I was able to reserve a beach hut to comply with Covid restrictions....More

The Old Alehouse is working hard to provide a very pleasant dining experience within the current Covid guidelines.
Staff are helpful and attentive. Food was tasty and well presented.

I had booked for outside dining in a covered area, but was offered the use of one of their heated beach huts which was very welcome on a grey, drizzly day.

Neil - thanks so much for the lovely and detailed feedback - the team really appreciate it
Wonderful meeting of friends for lunch in a beach hut. Menu is limited, but that's understandable with COVID. We had the most excellent service and possibly the best fish and chips ever.
Will certainly be returning .
