A busy pub with low priced food. It achieves exactly what to expect from this chain - busy, cheap and average food. Staff were polite and efficient and food was acceptable.

Ordered 2 lagers and 2 meals one burger and one curry and was charged £28 which I must say thought was a bit steep. The meals were delivered and they had ordered one meal extra. There was no arguing just refunded the bill. Excellent and...More
This is a large Wetherspoons pub on several floors, and it has a great view of the castle, particularly from the upper floor. The beer range is not as wide as in most 'Spoons, and on our visit we were particularly plagued by beers and...More

Having worked for Wetherspoon's for a number of years I know what to expect . The venue is brilliant and the staff work so hard considering how busy this place gets. But I won't be back again purely due to the security staff on site...More

I hate to write a negative review, so here are the good points first. We come here all the time and really enjoy the beer garden and atmosphere. The staff are usually friendly and the drinks are reasonable and food is good pub grub. Unfortunately...More
Food is mediocre, but you get what you pay for, drinks are overpriced, real ales are awful ( obviously pipes not cleaned enough).
