Haven't been for two years, but we won't leave it that long again. Excellent food, attentive and friendly service, plus great music and wonderful photographs. We'll be back!

very rude staff indeed food good but service and waiter had very bad attitude when questioning about service charge
We spent the day at legoland and this was only a 10 minute drive away. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food we had was delicious. I highly recommend trying the food at Al Fassia, you won’t be disappointed!
Lovely Moroccan cuisine, great atmosphere with traditional music, and the service was brilliant. I thoroughly recommend Al Fassia for dinner if you’re in Windsor. The Al Fassia Salad starter offered a great variety of tasty dishes, along with bread and hummus. Tagine D’Elkhodra for main...was tasty and filling. Only slight criticism is that there was little too much olive oil for my liking, but that’s likely as it doesn’t sit well in my stomach.More
I’m very disappointed. We ordered Moroccan food but not good as we expected. It was totally waste of money and time. I won’t come back to this place again and I don’t recommend it at all.!
Enjoyable food in a nice atmosphere with attentive service. The place was quite busy on a midweek night so is appealing.
We needed somewhere to meet mid-way(ish) between Oxford and Coulsdon. Windsor seemed a good choice. Next, what to eat? I’m a dyed in the wool carnivore, my dining partner a vegan. We both enjoy food of the world and saw that Al Fassia had some...good reviews so we thought we’d give it try. They did not disappoint! The food and the service was simply excellent. We both chose tagines; mine was lamb shank with prunes and apricots (TAGINE LAMB BELBARHOUK). The generous portion of succulent meat fell off the bone. My partner enjoyed the TAGINE D'ELAADAS, Lentil stew slow cooked with vegetables, garlic, mixed herbs and olive oil. Which took her no time at all. With a starter of EPINARD A L'AILE (Spinach cooked with olive oil, garlic, herbs, spices and preserved lemon, served with pitta bread) a couple beers and a glass of Pinot we couldn’t be happier. Service was also excellent; discreet but attentive, friendly without overfamiliarity. The restaurant itself gives a very warm traditional Moroccan feel with appropriate music to add a little food for the ears. I don’t do many reviews but this little gem absolutely requires it. Whilst the cost of the evening was a little more than I expected I begrudge not a penny and I felt I also got value for money. If you’re going to Windsor do not miss this fantastic restaurant.More
Wow, what amazing restaurant, being from North Africa, it was so refreshing to experience a taste of home. This restaurant not only has the most delicious food, from the cous cous to the merges or the lamb and chicken dishes. The staff are super friendly...and nothing is too much trouble. There is something for everyone, and this little gem lets you experience traditional Moroccan food in a beautiful setting ! Thank you for making us so welcome 🤗More
Al Fassia ranks in my top 3 places to eat in Windsor. We have eaten there many times and never had a poor meal. Post Covid we returned last weekend and enjoyed it hugely. My wife and I both had the Sardine a La Sharmoula...to start. Beautifully flavoured and a real treat. Other personal favourite options from the starter menu are Mergas Sausages or Harira Soup. For mains course, I went for Tagine Lamb Tfaia. For years I went for the Kebab Maghdour (cubes of lamb, tomato and parsley topped with a fresh egg) on the grounds that I would not enjoy sweet raisins etc. with meat. Then I tried it and it was a revelation so I again enjoyed stewed lamb in a tagine with sweet caramelised onions and raisins plus couscous. My wife had the Alfassia salad as a main course which is a variety of little dishes of cold starters in a meze or tapas style. This enabled her to comfortably finish off with a dessert of Moroccan homemade pastries and a Moroccan coffee. Wines by the glass are restricted to a limited range of house wines at £6:50 of good quality. We went for the excellent rose. I would recommend a bottle of the Moroccan red “Domaine de Sahari” if you go for wine by the bottle at an affordable £23.95. Service is not included in the initial bill and ours came to just above £80 including 4 glasses of wine. A very enjoyable afternoon.More
Thank you for such good feedback, we will also work hard to satisfy new and regular customers.
First time having Moroccan food. Very flavourful. Exceeded our expectations. Good for vegetarian options. Service was great.
Thank you very much we are glad that you enjoy the food and service
We loved Al Fassia, downstairs was a bit plain, although busy but upstairs was wonderful! It was traditionally decorated in a Moroccan style and was stunning, the ambiance was perfect. The food was incredible, everything was delicious with an excellent vegetarian range (two of our...party were veggies) The food was explained by the attentive waiters and service was outstanding! I will definitely be going back and can highly recommend this little gem to anyone.More
We are glad you enjoyed the food and service, and we hope to see you soon. Best regards
DO NOT eat here!!! By far the worst Moroccan food I’ve ever had. We were so looking forward to trying the food here after visiting the website and looking through the menu but were thoroughly disappointed. It was an early Father’s Day treat but we...wish we hadn’t bothered! The homemade Moroccan bread was stale, the lamb kebabs were bland and tasteless, my dad’s lamb tagine was also poor, he said it lacked flavour and was very disappointed. My mum had chicken kebabs but they looked like they weren’t cooked properly and the chips were lukewarm. The decor in the restaurant is tired and needs updating and the waiters weren’t friendly. Didn’t even bring a jug of water or anything to the table. Do yourselves a favour and save your money!More
Booked 2 months in advance as a birthday treat - Morocco is one of our favourite places on earth (having visited 4 or 5 times between us), Moroccan food absolutely up there as one of the best cuisines in the world. This restaurant had incredible...reviews, so it all made sense. The dining room seemed rather bland and sterile - not much in the way of soft furnishings, wall decor or other little extras to give a North African feel - but everyone was very welcoming. Starters (bastilla and filo parcels) were both incredibly bland and almost tasteless, without the subtle flavours one would expect. Mains were equally uninspiring. A selection of vegetarian and seafood sides were all adequate, but none very inspiring. The Al Fassia Couscous (not served from a tagine, but plated up) was without question the worst couscous main I’d ever had in a speciality restaurant - which was as surprising as it was disappointing. Whilst the vegetables are supposed to be slow cooked and soft, these were cooked to a mush. The merguez sausages and (incredibly) even the chicken both had parts that were hard and crusty - similar to when the prior day’s food is re-heated for too long in a microwave. And the lamb was soft but lacking in any flavour at all. I left the whole dish. The owner/manager kindly took off the couscous from the bill, but the evening was one of great expectations, and bitter disappointment.More
Thank you for your review. I am deeply saddened to read your words and I am so sorry that the experience was not what you were expecting. As you referenced in our 5 star reviews, we have been working hard for over 20 years to...More
Traditional family run Moroccan Restaurant. Absolutely delicious food, we ate the Al Fassia Special, beautifully presented, with each dish uniquely flavored. Cocktails, Moroccan wine, home made pastries and desserts, Moroccan tea and coffee to finish. Absolutely delicious from start to finish. Warm, welcoming and friendly...staff made for a fantastic evening, especially arranging a taxi for us when we missed our bus back to Slough. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant, a big thank you to all of the staff for such a wonderful evening.More
We don't love far away and have visited a few times over the past 20 years. Always authentic, flavoursome, well cooked dishes (recommend their Tagines). Lots to choose from and excellent speedy service. However, if you choose the Moroccan pastries for dessert, they are not...baklava but biscuits. I preferred the pancakes. The only downside is that it no longer has the 'Moroccaish' ambience that it used to have years ago. There's soft furnishings downstairs, no lanterns or soft lighting or music. It can be a bit noisy if full as it's only small. But with the bright ceiling spotlights and basic furnishing it could be a cafe anywhere. It has a carved screen along the back wall and tea lights on the tables but no other Moroccan touches which is a shame. Alot more could be done with the interior decor to make the atmosphere feel warm and cosy. The upstairs room is more authentic but was closed off.More
