Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our first visit and unlikely to be our last. The food and drink was all very tasty and exceptionally fresh. The bread was beautiful on the sandwiches (I had tuna mayo with red onion - yum!), so fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. The...tea, for the price, was the only slight issue, the tea leaves in the teapots took an age to infuse, and so cooled everything down. The service was swift and polite with a warm welcome inside. They made you feel like they wanted you to be there, which is always nice. The cakes are also exceptional - if you visit this place, do try one! You won't be disappointed. Good seating inside and out, I look forward to returning soon.More

I went to the Potted Pantry today for an Afternoon Tea with a friend. The tea was absolutely delicious and there was a great selection of sandwiches (four different fillings) and sweet treats. I thought it was excellent value and the staff were really lovely....I can definitely recommend the whole experience.More

Visited here with my mum for the first time, Easter Sunday customer service- going to the NGS garden in Badsey so really close. Food choices, presentation & taste were all excellent. Everything is homemade & if service is not 'fast food' style it's because there's...only 1 chef & he prepares everything to a high standard. He apologised for not having the Dill Mayo to go with my Fishcakes, & offered me tartare sauce which he had made himself. It was all really delicious. Setting is in a lovely area & they've made the most of the old building which has an interesting history including originating being part of the Cadbury organisation, moving onto being a vegetable distribution centre & been involved in the making of gas masks, in the war years. The chef took time to show us 3 photos from circa 1946 of the previous industries. Excellent customer service & really tasty & quality food - we will be back. Thankyou.More

We are a cycling group who went to the cafe on a weekend ride. The menu was a full vegetarian breakfast or a small meat breakfast (no veggie option). I asked if I could have the small breakfast as a vegetarian and was told this...was fine, but a full (very large) vegetarian option arrived with the explanation that they don’t do a small veggie option. The reduced veggie option would have been easy (one sausage, one hash brown, reduced beans and egg) but this wasn’t communicated. I then had to cycle 16 miles home on a full breakfast which was far from ideal. The food and staff were lovely, and I will go back, but just tell me that the option I had requested wasn’t available, and assume I wanted the larger option.More

Have visited here several times absolutely love the cafe and outside seating and the food is lovely but the service lets it down every time. Visited a couple of months back with my niece and it took ages for our order to be taken a...long time for the food to come and once we had finished no one cleared the plates away we were going to have more drinks but gave up waiting and left. Visited again today and the same again went in and asked for menus was told will be out shortly to take your order and noone came out. If it was a one off would excuse it but this happens every single time we go. There were only 3 people in the cafe so not sure why no service. This really needs to be looked at as I am sure you lose business because of it.More

After waiting 15 minutes for anyone to come and take our order we walked out and gave up. Pleased they are doing so well that they can afford to turn away trade. It wasn’t busy there was one more table inside and one outside mid...afternoon on a FridayMore

This was my first time at this cafe, l met with a friend for lunch. I booked the table in advance but sadly we were directed to a pokey little table away from the main area, behind the shop door. I was seated to the...left of the door which lead to the toilets, inches from the opening side of the door. As it turned out this door was very well used and every couple of minutes someone passed through giving us a strong cold waft of toilet disinfectant. I really think the seating arrangement could have been better thought out. There was no point in asking to be moved as the cafe quickly became full for lunch. On the other side of the room, the tables looked lovely and people were sitting in the sunshine. The food was fine although the service was a little slow. I gave 3 stars as l am sure most other diners would have been quite happy. For me though it was a one star.More

I have been lucky enough to have visited this delightful cafe for many years. The quality of the home produced food is consistently outstanding in terms of quality of ingredients, value and portion size. Also outstanding are the professional yet very friendly staff. This delightful...cafe is a gem to find but so worth it. Always a good atmosphere with comfortable seating- what more can I say apart from go and visit your self!More

Lunch here today at the Potted Pantry, so glad we decided to go here, the food was delicious, we had paninis with salad which had an awesome dressing, my panini was turkey, stuffing and cranberry, my friends was turkey, brie and cranberry, lovely place and...the staff were awesome, I took a picture of my lunch, but ate the white chocolate and raspberry tart before I thought about a picture, my friend had the lemon tart, both scrummy? Would highly recommend you try here, we shall be returning 😁More
