An excellent two night stay. The breakfasts were outstanding and certainly meant there was no need for a lunch! The pub and our room were spotlessly clean and landlord/landlady and staff were friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was home from home - biscuits, generous supply of milk/tea/coffee and a jug of milk if you ask, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, fluffy white towels/flannels, ample storage space, hairdryer - we really didn't want for anything. And the view from the bedroom window was magnificent. Dogs are made very welcome, and the resident dog loves you to throw a ball for him.

A group of, usually, between 6 and 8 retired/semi-retired guys from Colwall get together every now and then for a breakfast. This time we decided to have a change and meet for lunch at The Wyche. Booking for the table taken efficiently a few days ago… this time of the year maybe not strictly necessary but in the season, most definitely. Table ready on arrival… we were a couple fewer than booked but this accepted with a smile. Chatted about best way to order drinks and meals as we’re all miserable g***s and I’m not paying extra for his more expensive meal and extra beer 😀. No problem, sorted easily. The menu is pretty comprehensive… as you can see from the website. Between the six of us we had 5 different dishes all of which were considered tasty and good value. I can’t comment on what was eaten because some of the lads didn’t like the idea that their wives might find out that they ate a simple salad or sandwich… yeh, right 🤔! I can comment upon my goat curry… flavourful and tasty without being too hot. Chips and rice (half and half as my Welsh friends would say) and a small naan. Excellent and at a good price. I can’t comment on the desserts as we, of course, were too moderate to have one… yeh, right! Good selection of beer plus very efficient and personable service throughout. It sort of feels as thought the lads could be returning… soon!

Stayed here twice in 2021 and am booked again for May 2022. Lovely position high on the hills, comfortable rooms with extensive views over the Severn Plain. Breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice, and you can have a substantial packed lunch if you wish, as well as good pub food during the day and evening. Ideal for walkers and very dog friendly, with walks straight from the door on the Malvern Hills, and easy access to Great Malvern itself. The rooms have a separate entrance from the pub, which is very convenient. Small car park but there is parking on the road, which is quiet at night. EV charging point round the corner at the Geophysical Station, which is worth a visit and allows free charging while there during the day.

Not good for families. Two families of four visited at the end of a walk initially with the intent of having a quick drink before heading home. Conscious of the Covid situation I informed the landlady there was a group of us before we all piled in and was asked what I wanted to drink. We all came in and then a younger extremely rude man told me to wait while he checked there was enough space. (After I’d ordered). We sat down outside with the kids and had our drinks and asked if there was a chance of some food as the menu looked good and we were told that would be fine so long as we ate outside at the bench we were sat at. At the point we were about to place an order the rude younger gentlemen came to the door and shouted at us and/or the kids to get them to sit down and stop running about. They were sat down at the time playing on an iPhone. He could have handled the situation so much more sensitively and spoken to us as a group but made us and the next table fee so uncomfortable by shouting across the beer garden/yard we all decided not to order and leave. Needless to say we won’t be visiting the Wyche Inn again and neither will our family and friends.

Thank you for your review. Obviously , having limited tables, we have to make sure there is enough seating for all ,especially a larger party so the bar staff might not have been aware that seating had been found. I will apologise if my member of staff did not speak to you first about the running around and noise from your children. However, if your children had not been running around the bar staff would not have been forced to say anything at all We do have a note at the front door at the moment of our house rules during COVID requesting that children to be sat down. Even for adults at the moment there is no standing apart from being served at the bar! We are also operating a one way system and they were in and out of an exit only door. There are family friendly pubs, where children are invited into a pub and are seated throughout their stay and family friendly where children are allowed to run about. We operate the first to make everybody's visit comfortable and in these days, safe.

We called in for lunch and we weren’t disappointed, the food was excellent served by a very helpful young man. Parking can be an issue because the pub is on a bend and narrow road. However the views are amazing and would definitely recommend

Booked for 6 as part of a family hills walk after seeing a local friend post who I know to be a real foodie singing praises. The most perfect day walking the beautiful hills and stopping off for what was an exceptional roast lunch. Piping hot, generous portions, delicious home cooked roasties (that’s often the bit that can disappoint in a pub but it absolutely did not), well cooked veg, loads of extra gravy, speedy service, I could go on and on… rounded off with a lovely local Ledbury and Hereford Ale. Really wanted the pudding as they were proper English puds but just too full with a few miles still to walk. Gonna do it next time! Will definitely be back. Faultless food and drink and lovely friendly pub too. Thanks so much

A cosy, unpretentious pub, we ate here on 3 occasions during a week's stay nearby and experienced a warm welcome and friendly and efficient service each time. The menu has plenty ofl choices, including vegetarian/vegan options and we enjoyed all the meals we had. There was also a good choice of drinks on offer, including 2 locally brewed cask beers. Would definitely return on future visits to the area.

Situated up in the Malvern Hills and very near the Herefordshire and worcestershire border, there are almost unparalleled views here. Happily that's not the only reason to make it all the way up the hill. Impressive food (can recommend the beef chili enchilada, and my partner and son enjoyed their meals too) and also a great selection of local ciders. In fact a better cider selection than I've seen anywhere else locally. Friendly vibe and excellent service too.

This pub is ok as a pit stop when walking the hills. The food is very basic and pretty bland. The service was good, the staff were very friendly. The beer garden is really tiny which is a shame because the views from the other side of the road are amazing.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and service in these difficult times with Covid on our first week reopening after lockdown. We are sorry that you found the food basic and bland. We have a good variety of tasty food available which is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. We do not serve 'posh' food as that is not what our customers want. Our head chef is from Granada so herbs and spices feature in most dishes. As the pub is perched high on the side of the hills, there is no scope to make our garden bigger. We have had to put away 3 benches due to social distancing but hope to be able to use them in the near future.

I booked 2 rooms for my family to stay at. They liked it. Said the views from their rooms were amazing. One of my guests said the shower wasn’t that great and the bathtub was too small to bathe in, but it would suit a child or short person. Negative - Next morning when I went there with the intention of saying goodbye to my family I found the lady very standoffish with me; I’m 52 years old and don’t appreciate being told to make sure I’m quiet as there are residents still sleeping!

Thank you for your review. We are happy that your family enjoyed the view and their overnight stay. The bathrooms were fit many years ago, prior to us, and we have not had any complaints about the shower, if fact many say they are very good. Regarding the following morning. I was taken by surprise with your visit to your family without prior notice and your abrupt entrance almost demanding to see your Mum as we are not open to non residents in a morning. You turned up at 8.20am when residents were possibly still asleep, that is why I asked you to be quiet. I am assuming it was you or another family member who I spoke to on the phone a couple of days before about an early check in for your family. I moved heaven and earth to get the rooms ready and, although not your fault, their travel arrangements changed and they could not arrive early as expected appreciation would have been welcomed for a business, like many others, going through turbulent times with lower staffing.

Having walked up the Beacon with our pups we were given a warm doggy welcome at this pub. Lovely friendly staff. large vegetarian section. I had the veggie chilli and found the butter beans mushy. Try sticking to kidney and black beans. There was plenty of it with nachos which was nice. As I said. dog friendly. Amazing views.

Had a lovely 2 nights at The Wyche Inn. This isn't a luxury hotel but a country pub, that said our room was spotlessly clean and the views were spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful with plenty of ideas and tips. Parking is a bit snug but otherwise it was a nice pub, good beer and good food, breakfast was a lovely cooked full english but they catered for the Vegetarian in our party and also the coeliac. Location means you can just walk round the corner and onto the Malvern Hills Have already booked for next year

First meal out since lockdown and felt very Safe. Well spread out tables, staff all wearing masks when they approach you. Hand sanitiser available everything table service so no need to get close to anyone. Food was great! Good portions and delicious.

What a great place. Owners friendly and chatty. Room was excellent: clean, spacious and well furnished. It was the flat and was ideal as we could use the kitchen, which was well equipped. We liked the table where we sat and drank tea looking out over the valley. Comfortable bed, lovely linen and fresh towels. We also appreciated the covid measures which helped us feel relaxed. Breakfast was delicious and quite simply the best value we have ever had. Super selection. The area is stunning and the snow added to what was a lovely weekend. Both us and our little old Jack Russel loved it and will be returning in the spring.

This is a beautiful part of the country. The Wyche Innis located up towards the Malvern Hills and is in an ideal location to explore the area. \The staff are what make this in excellent. They set the tone for a relaxed break and go the extra mile. The food room and beer was excellent and the whole experience was very positive. V Covid restrictions handled seamlessly and they even manage to have a non singing folk experience every Wednesday. Well done Wyche and thank you.
