Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A big thankyou to Caroline and the team at The Bluebird Tea room who delivered afternoon tea to 7 isolating households on our road. It provided much enjoyment for my family as well as our many elderly neighbours who are currently in week 3 of isolation. It included scones, cream, jam, fingers sandwiches and a hugs selection of cakes, plus teas and coffee bags, for 2 people £15. All delivered to the doorstep.
I would highly recommend, delicious food and fabulous service under difficult circumstances. Thank you

I had arranged to take my Mum out for afternoon tea on a boat on the Thames in London to celebrate her 70th birthday. Obviously this was impossible as she was locked down at home in Malvern but the wonderful Bluebird Tea Rooms in Malvern came to my rescue. They delivered an absolutely scrumptious cream tea with scones, sandwiches and all sorts of cakes and other goodies, which I and my two sisters joined in via Zoom from our own homes. Caroline made it really easy to organise over the phone, the tea was delivered spot on time to my Dad and was a complete surprise for my Mum, who loved the tea and hugely enjoyed the occasion. And to look after the environment everything was delivered in compostable containers. Thank you so much for all you have done to make my mum’s birthday extra special.

What a lovely cafe this is. Hidden away at the top of a staircase are two old fashioned and cosy rooms, one with a welcoming fire, overlooking the top of Great Malvern town. The cakes and sandwiches are delicious, everything is well presented and the staff are friendly and professional. An absolute treat, almost a requirement, to visit when in Malvern. During lockdown staff from this cafe delivered beautiful afternoon teas which were enjoyed with delight by everyone lucky enough to receive one.

We visited twice, first time had the vegetarian full English which was delicious and chai. Because the first time was soo good we then visit d again on the next day and had scrambled eggs on toast, olive and pepper scone and iced coffee cake. The cake and scone are made fresh and all the food is delicious and well priced

A delicious selection of scones, sandwiches, cake, and even hot cross buns, all home made and delivered on time. A real treat when in isolation. Including a variety of tea and coffee sachets. Good thinking, careful planning, excellent.

We visited The Blue Bird Tearooms on 21.02.2023 whilst passing through Great Malvern on our way home after a weekend break.
This is a quirky place above the shops in the centre of the town that you enter through one door, up a flight of stairs where you are let in to the upstairs area, which is like walking in to your Grannies living room and then, when you leave you pay 'under the stairs' and leave by another exit into a passage way at the side of the premises, it's like a 'one way' system !!
We just had a couple of toasted paninis and soft drinks which were all fine and reasonably priced but it just felt like a really odd kind of place and a little dated in the decor

Afternoon Tea for 2 people organised by my children to be delivered as a surprise for Mothers Day. It arrived on time and was delicious. A good selection of sandwiches and an amazing mix of cakes including the traditional scones - 2 fruit and 2 plain along with clotted cream and strawberry jam. There was also a selection of teas and coffee included. Highly recommended. We look forward to visiting the tearooms in Great Malvern when they reopen after lockdown.

Blue Bird Tearooms in Great Malvern offers friendly service, a delicious well-cooked breakfast and yummy cake, making it great value for money. It is a little like walking into a museum, going back in time. Plus, the view from the loo is surprisingly amazing! NB not wheelchair accessible and I would be nervous of taking in a toddler, they have a lot of delicate china on display.

This was an unexpected visit and we are so glad we chose this tea room.
It is absolutely unique and exceptionally unspoilt and charming. It is like walking into a by gone age.
The service was beautifully efficient and courteous. The beautiful floral matching teapot and cup and sauce was delightful. The two lattes were superb.
The best bit for us were the spiced homemade tea cakes which were so delicious.
A pleasant chat was had when paying and we enjoyed receiving information about Malvern so we could plan our day.
This is a very special place indeed.

Arrived as a single customer, and I was asked if I would mind sitting in the lounge upstairs. I hadn't been before, so I was a bit surprised when I got upstairs to find it empty of customers and a bit lacking in atmosphere - sofas and coffee tables, even though I had seen a table free downstairs. I said I would prefer a table, and the waitress then expressed surprise that there were 3 free tables in the main tea room. I think in reality she didn't want me to take up a table on my own, if she could give it to a larger party. I didn't stay. I felt very uncomfortable.

I have been coming to the Blur Bird Tearooms for over 55 years and still they do not disappoint! Love the quirky rooms with uneven floors and windows looking onto Church Street. All the food is delicious and the homemade scones, sweet and savoury, are simply the best anywhere. The soups are always tasty, the coffee is great and there is a huge range of teas and other drinks. Staff are very friendly and prices reasonable.Highly recommmended.
