We called for a drink on a Saturday evening around 7.30pm. I had a 'monkey 47' gin and tonic and my husband had a pint of beer which both came to £9. The gin was most enjoyable but I feel it was a little pricey for what we would normally pay. Be prepared to stand as a seat is not... More

My favourite pub in Worcester. It's the oldest pub and is a lovely old black and white building. Always a great selection of real ales. Friendly pleasant staff. The cosy snug is a great place to sit and sup a few ales!

Only had a few drinks in this pub but there was a good selection of real ales and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Allow you a small sample of the ales to help you to choose which one you want. The bar area is only small but there are other rooms off where you can sit.

A real classy old world feel sets this place apart. Called in for lunch and glad we did. Oak paneled walls, candles and rustic look really set it off. The menu was not typical Had the smoked kippers and toast which I would not normally go for but is was delicious. They also do a selection of amazing platters. Its... More

The Cardinal's Hat has a fine menu, with locally sourced food and artisan cheeses. Everything we tried was exceptional and reasonably priced.

Had a couple of nights in this lovely old pub. Quirky Georgian room with spanking new facilities. The staff couldn't be more helpful, the snug an oasis in an otherwise busy pub. Loved it.

In the city centre close to other bars and restaurants. 2 rooms with chairs, bench seats and stools. Lots of real ales and ciders. Walls have wood panels, fire places, stone floors, lead windows, and stained glass. Bar food available. Gets busy but is really cosy.

Situated in the ancient heart of the city, the Cardinal's Hat is Worcester's oldest inn and thus has plenty of experience when it comes to pleasing hungry and thirsty visitors over the years. Long-considered a local landmark, this historic watering hole is now a labour of love of local food, drink, live music and traditional pub culture where fine wines, well-kept craft & cask ales and Continental beers are served with pride and satisfaction. With its imposing red brick facade and stunning location in Friar Street, the Cardinal's hat is a handsome example of an English city pub. Three storey's high and oozing with charm this independent free house - which originally hails back to the fourteenth century - is the perfect place to meet family, friends and colleagues. With over 30 years in the pub trade Nigel, Sadie and the team will make sure you feel welcome. In December 2015 the Cardinal's Hat opened the doors to its newly refurbished Georgian City Rooms, the four boutique rooms have been luxuriously finished and offer a stunning place to stay in the city center. Whether passing by for a coffee, settling in for a leisurely platter of the region's finest fare, or stopping to sup a cool draught Wye Valley HPA, the Cardinal's Hat has something for everyone. Opening hours Monday 4pm -11pm Tuesday to Thursday 12pm -11pm Friday and Saturday 12 - 11.30Pm Sundays 12 - 10.30Pm
