We took advantage of the 2 for 1 lunchtime offer, and had a pleasant lunch, but it was no more than that. Excellent choice of Ale, staff friendly and on a warm day it would be lovely to eat outside alongside the canal, but overall food assessment is Average+ The food could have been hotter, and we were disappointed that... I had been here a couple of times for lunch and it was very pleasant. My husband and I went on a Tuesday evening about 6.30 for a pub dinner. My husband had the lasagne and it looked well presented and he said he tasted nice. My dinner was a different matter I ordered the Steak and Ale Pie, chips,... More

Very middle of the road pub which needs updating. The food is average and averagely priced. Won't be returning

It was fairly standard pub food, I chose gammon & egg, my girlfriend had cajun chicken, both with chips. Food was quite good, decent portion size and overall... More

Warm service. Tasty meat and veg. Gravy to die for. I could drink it. Prices for both food and drinks are fair and reasonable. Always busy on a Sunday for such obvious reasons. Parking outside. No complaints.

A super place right beside the canal. Food is straightforward in terms of bar meals, atmosphere is excellent, with good mix of locals and passing trade.
