We eat at Medina regularly, last time we had lunch the cumin potatoes, my husbands favourite were more like chips. He was disappointed. This is the first time our food has been anything other than great. Please Medina chef, go back to the previous style...of cumin potatoes. The staff are always excellent, a credit to the place.More

We had a very enjoyable evening at Medina, which we found and booked online ahead of our trip. The restaurant exceeded our expectations with the quality of the food, the ambience and the service. Our table was in the corner of the front room, and...we loved the streaming 'Afternoon Vibes' music playlist playing softly in a quietly buzzing room. Can't wait to go back - it was just our kind of place!More

The menu is rather limited but the food is excellent and freshly prepared. The mergeuze sausages were so good that I asked for the source, details of which they were happy to provide. The salads are varied and interesting. All served in a room with excellent...decor and ambiance - looks as though it's a whole food restaurant but without forcing you to give up meat! Best meal we had in Aberystwyth.More

We always visit Medina when on holiday in the area. It's our go to place for delicious, tasty food but sadly this time we were a little let down. We were in the front room and felt a bit out of sight, out of mind....The staff were very friendly but we think they forgot to deliver our food when it was ready and therefore it was cold on delivery. We would've said something but after waiting quite a long time for our food we then didn't see a staff member until we had almost done. The food itself had the usual delicious flavours but the fact it was cold spoilt our experience.More

This place really has the hallmarks of being amazing - the menu, quality of the food and ambiance is fabulous. Staff let it down a little bit - they are friendly and generally welcoming, but we felt a bit ‘out of sight, out of mind’...in the front room as the majority of the staff were in the main room. That said, we did have a lovely time and amazing food made it a superb lunch.More

This is a very pleasant and different restaurant. Service was excellent and the food was really nice. Unfortunately had to send a fish dish back because the vegetable were really cold. Would definitely give it another go.

We happened to be passing and called in. We were greeted my a nice young guy and seated. The first course was delicious and the main was out of this world. Truly authentically cooked food with great flavour. The price was very reasonably also.

Yesterday we had our first special treat since returning from Rome after Christmas 2019 - we realised that we had been very lucky not to pick something very unpleasant up as we passed through the airport each way. Medina offered is reassurance by asking diners...not to get to close to one another. We were met by a very please young person who showed us to a table for two in the room which fronts the street. As we read the menu, our mouths watered as we thought about the selection, most of which seems to be Lebanese influenced. We both had fish: Cod large Goujons served with lemon and garlic mayonnaise and cumin fries. Cumin fried Whitebait also served with lemon and garlic mayonnaise. It was here that I first tasted dishes with added cumin and was and still am amazed at what an interesting and good taste the cumin adds – nothing like curry to me. Perhaps the most special part of Medina is the wonderful selection of varied and exciting salads: Roasted aubergines, feta, pomegranate, pine nuts, za’atar (mix of Middle Eastern herbs including sumac) and parsley Fatoush – is a Lebanese coarsely chopped salad with tomato, cucumber, lettuce, radish sumac, mint, pomegranate and crispy flatbread which was an exciting addition to the Whitebait. To drink we both had Sicilian Lemonade which was sharp and very refreshing. At just £29.00 we thought we had dined like Royalty.More

We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the food was lovely. There were a number of staff working but they all seemed too busy and indifferent to give real attention to us. Glasses were cleared but the waitress didn't look at us and...offer more drinks. Poor customer service and it ruined our meal out.More

We visited Aberystwyth today on a family day trip. For lunch we popped into Madina for the first time and we were blown away with the food. The selection was vast and all the products were handmade and looked very fresh. We have a great...selection of the products , the Parisien Love cake, which was absolutely insane and one of the best cakes I have ever had. This place would be great for anyone and also they have a lovely cafe if you want to eat in. We would go again anytime.More
