Ty Golchi is a family friendly, independently owned and run cafe, serving a wide range of freshly prepared food. With a large car park, fully disabled access and toilet facilities. We have ample outside seating and a large garden for our patrons to enjoy (weather permitting) A warm Welsh welcome awaits all our customers. As all our staff are fluent english speakers we offer a fully bi-lingual service.

Took my mother for a slightly belated Mother's Day lunch and Ty Golchi didn't disappoint.
It happened to be a Tuesday so I was pleased to learn it was "Tapas Tuesday"
This dish used to be permanently on the menu, and was always a firm favourite of mine, but since the business changed hands it has become a once-a-week special.
We received a warm welcome, were shown to our seats and our drinks order was taken. We were then left a while to peruse the menu and it was pointed out that there were specials listed on a chalk board nearby.
I already knew before arriving that I wanted the Tapas dish so didn't pay too much attention to other dishes on offer.
As you can see in the photo added, there's a huge plate full with the Tapas dish!
It currently costs £11 for 1 person (choice of 3 Tapas dishes) or £20 for 2 people (choice of 6 Tapas dishes.) Additional Tapas dishes can be added for £2.50 each; but you'll probably find that 3 dishes is more than enough for the heartiest of appetites. There is a lengthy list of Tapas dishes you can chose from (sorry, I forgot to photograph the list) that are a mix of meat, vegetable and seafood dishes. They are then added to your salad and fruit and will be served with a freshly baked mini roll with butter. I chose Sweet Potato Wedges, Garlic Mushrooms and Tuna Mayonnaise (dish on the left of the photo) and my mother ordered Sweet Potato Wedges, Grilled Goats Cheese, and Tuna Mayonnaise.
It was absolutely delicious! Both very satisfied customers.
Plenty of fruit on the plate; grapes, kiwi fruit, orange slices, melon slices, strawberries, pineaple and apple slices. Salad consisted of mixed lettuce, red onion, cucumber, small plum tomatoes, and bell pepper slices.
As it was a special occasion we treated ourselves to a dessert afterwards; lemon cheesecake with pouring cream for my mum and a slice of Victoria Sponge for myself. Both desserts were five star and also well received.
We are returning customers to this business and were not disappointed. We enjoyed every mouthful and can heartily recommend :)

First visit to this lovely family restaurant lots of parking and excellent for disabled . Nice lunch menu with a few specials and the homemade cake portions looked enormous . Had the jacket potato and it was presented with an excellent salad dressing, Looking at the customers who had ordered from the Specials board made us decide on a return visit very soon

After travelling to Holyhead to the North Stack, we search for some where to eat along the country roads leading Caernarfon unsuccessfully until came down the slip rd and found this gem on the roundabout, It was a lovely hot day, tables outside and inside, nice menu, i have pawn salad with a side of potato wedges ( never know how big the serving are ) my wife Ham eggs and chips. my, the plate fulls we received, i regretted the wedges as soon as i saw the salad, my had two eggs two very large slices of ham and plate full of chips , The food was very tasty, serving massive, service very polite and prices more than reasonable. if are in the area please give this cafe your custom.

Visited for lunch, it was fairly busy a few spare tables. The food was very disappointing and not up to the standard and quality of previous visits. The burger was very bland and the chips I brought home to give to the dogs as a treat, they were tasteless. Previous visits we have adored the chips and the meals overall. It wasn’t cheap either. When I went to pay, the assistant asked ‘was everything ok’ and I told her it wasn’t a scratch on previous visits, told her what I was doing a disappointment the chips had been . She said ‘Oh’ ..... that’s it, no apology just gave me the bill to pay. Not a comment received. Very disappointed indeed.

Went in for a mid morning breakfast .. very polite and welcoming staff
The full breakfast was delicious , hot and plenty of it .. hubby really enjoyed it ..
I had pea and mint soup which was homemade and very very tasty ..
great value for money .. would definitely return if we are in this area again ..

Went here for lunch today on the recommendation of a friend and I was really really impressed. Upon parking in the ample car park we spotted a lovely little shop adjacent to the Ty Golchi which sold the most beautiful items 💜 we walked through the shop then into the Ty Golchi. The staff very welcoming and smartly dressed, We were seated and our drinks taken, we ordered the soup of the day with a sandwich and my 4 year old the kids pizza. Meals arrived pretty quickly and were well presented, the food was really nice.
My daughter needed the toilet but I was quite disappointed, the floor in both cubical was very wet (unsure if it was urine or water) the toilet roll holder kept falling off the wall, (I did notice blue tack on the top of it, I presumed this was to try and keep it shut..........failed!!) it was a very busy lunch time and maybe the staff didn’t get time to check them out regularly. It didn’t put us off completely as I will return. No WiFi either!!

Such a gem to find after a hot day's shopping in Bangor! We were able to sit outside, with our dog - bonus for her. Service was LOVELY - I'd hardly sat down when our waitress (I'm so sorry, I didn't get your name) came out to us with a bowl of water and some dog treats. Our order was taken immediately: our drinks arrived within minutes, and our food arrived very shortly after that. My hot bacon and chicken salad was SO beautifully presented, my husband was very complimentary about his chips. There's a lot of variety on the menu for quick, good eating, the food is fresh, and it's very reasonably priced.

We just called in for a breakfast as we were passing. It was spot on. Both my wife and I has the normal breakfast. A pleasant bonus was the excellent thick toast.
A minor point is that we are pensioners, so the plateful there was rather a lot. 2 x bacon, sausage egg etc. A choice of a small breakfast with 1 of everything would be appreciated next time we are passing. Though, actually I would more likely choose a simple eggs on toast and add a tomato.
Either way, we shall call again. It was rather good.

Never been here for breakfast, so thought we would give it a try. Very overpriced £3.10 for a small bottle of Fanta!! Sausages were absolutely awful, anaemic is an understatement, considering the prices charged. Really awful, and I’m so sorry to say that.
Cakes and coffee are beautiful, Lovely setting, lovely staff and nice and clean.
Please bin the sausages and maybe the panini press as ours were inedible, the onion relish wasn’t the best either, I’m sorry to say.

Went with my wife and an ex-work colleague in early Dec. Food was hot and tasty-both my wife and I had their Christmas dinner in a dish. Superb value. My friend had a massive baked potato with lashings of prawns. The service was lovely and the place is bright and cheerful. Absolute gem.

We decided to head here for breakfast with our dog - we rang ahead and were told that dogs were not allowed inside however there is outside seating and dogs were more than welcome there. We got there and there was plenty of outdoor seating. We ordered a full breakfast and fried bread, black pudding and eggs which was slightly off the menu but there staff were more than happy to accommodate the order. One of the team came out and made a real fuss of our dog and brought some dog biscuits which he tucked into straight away. The food arrived and the breakfast was fantastic, meaty sausage, thick bacon that wasn’t far off a gammon steak, thick toast all washed down with a cup of tea. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is slightly more expensive than a supermarket type of cafe but the quality and service are more than worth the extra pound that the fresh local ingredients give you. We will definitely be coming back. I would just say thanks very much for your hospitality while we were there.

Our visit to Ty Golchi today was excellent. The food was very good (not microwaved as is often the case in many restaurants!!), the staff were attentive and the prices meant the total cost was excellent value for money.
The best reference I can give is that Ti Golchi is very busy at lunch time. Go early to ensure you do not have to wait for a table!

What a great place! Visited on a busy August day and no tables available inside but we were happy to be seated outside. Food and drinks came really quickly, very reasonably priced, portions were excellent and the food tasted amazing. We were so full we didn’t stay for dessert, opting to take some home for later on 😄 Would definitely visit again

Food is quite basic cafe style food, sandwiches etc. Service was in Welsh which is always nice. Out total bill for two sandwiches and three drinks came to over £50 which we thought was incredibly expensive, and certainly not worth the money that we paid. I’ve heard so much good things about this place however it did not deliver on this occasion, it was average at best.

Fantastic find! We came here while on holiday after being let down by a nearby cafe closing early (cue distraught toddler in tow…) and found this one with good reviews. So glad we did! The owner / manager greeted us warmly and all the staff were so lovely and accommodating of us and our two little ones - offering plastic cutlery and straws without needing to ask! There’s so many thoughtful touches to make your dining experience stress free with little ones - brilliant high chairs with trays, copious colouring books and crayons (no blunt colouring pencil issues here! Haha) and the baby changing area was another level…
In regards to the food and coffee it was really delicious, lots of choice from a local supplier and really prompt service.
So glad we found this place - we will be back! Thank you so much!
