Superb little spot on the pier in Bangor. Lovely welcome and the best seafood chowder and rarebit wit views to die for. Great experience and we will be back. Gus, Amanda and Harrison. We will send our regards to Luddenden.

Well we popped in and did not realise it was as cafe ! Good for a sandwich and a coffee but no lunch or dinner menu just Chowder ,personally not worth the walk ,nice people though. .

If you are in Bangor pop in to this wonderful little cafe on the pier. The fish chowder is amazing and the owner has a wealth of local knowledge and is happy to chat as long as you want to.

Always call when we go to Bangor great food, & really friendly gentleman who owns it. Bought fresh home baked bread there today & sat inside for other good food to eat there & then.

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Whistle stop Its name was inspired by the story of Fanny Flag and the Film Fried green tomatoes at the Whistlestop Café I hope we've created just a smidgen of the fellowship that seemed to live there

The Whistlestop is a bijou cafe half way down Bangor pier. Its signature dishes are sea food chowder, Menai straits mussels in garlic and white wine with sourdough bread, welsh rarebit, burgers, pankakes and Bara brith. It seats 8 inside and 20 outside with stunning views of Snowdonia and the Menai Straits. All breads, burgers cakes and bara brith are home made by the proprietor.
