We visited the Anglesey Arms twice for dinner during our stay and the food was absolutely delicious. Between the 3 of us we sampled the bouillabaisse , steak and ale pudding, braised beef and lasagna, every dish was tasty and satisfying, highly recommended a visit. Also the landlord was so welcoming and friendly, felt right at home!

Stumbled upon this pub on our way from the Welsh Highland Railway. Amazing views from the wall just out front or from the benches. Good assortment of drinks including some local ales, we didn't try the food but it smelt lovely!

Very traditional pub with lots of Welsh speaking. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy the sun going down over the straits. The food was good but it gets packed and it's pretty lively

Located on the waterfront overlooking Anglesey and next to the Castle, with tables outside. A real sun trap afternoon/late evening. Best avoided when busy as service behind the bar is hopeless - I waited 20 minutes. We were going to eat but it would have required re-ordering at the bar and another interminable wait.

My wife and I went to the Anglesey Arms in May 2016 hoping for some good pub food. It was a beautiful sunny evening and the location at the water's edge beside Caernarvon Castle is stunning. Sadly the food let it down badly. I had a Welsh lamb burger which was dry and contained no relishes etc. although there was... More

Visited this place for a quick bite for lunch today. I ordered the Club Sandwich and my partner opted for Beef and Horseradish - we shouldn't have bothered because neither was worth waiting for! The beef sandwich turned up on stale bread without the horseradish and the club was the worst I've ever had! The chicken was wafer thin and... More

The pub has a great location and spectacular views over towards Anglesey with the castle on your left. Out service was friendly and fast but the food was a bit of a let down. It was the small things - we asked for a toasted cheese sandwich and got cheese on toast. Similarly the burger was advertised as being served... More

Visited for lunch. The food was ok but we were put off by the disgusting state of both the men's and ladies' toilets. We also noticed the 3 star hygiene rating after we ordered. Could be lovely as it's in a beautiful setting but needs a bit of TLC

What a shame! This pub has an amazing location, great for watching sunsets, but sadly it's not loved. The ladies toilets are a disgrace, utterly disgusting.

We went to lunch here on Sunday and had the worst meal ever. I ordered muscles which were minute and in a sauce which was nothing like Meunière but more like a packet mix and the ' muscles' tasted odd. The chips were not cooked and my husband's lasagne was all stodgy and covered in cheap cheese. His chips were... More
