We wanted a quick, inexpensive lunch and, having tried most other eateries in Conwy, we opted for somewhere different. Glad we hadn't read the reviews first though. I asked what the soup of the day was, to be told it was red pepper and carrot. Not being natural partners in a soup, I said no, but was offered a small... More

Popped in for a quick lunch, only read the reviews after ordering. The waitress was welcoming and friendly, cutlery was clean, so many of the recent reviews appear to have been addressed. Main reason for the average review was the vegetable soup - it tasted like a stock cube with added salt. Many of the regulars were having the all... More

I think this venue has only opened recently. They have retained many of the original features of the old bank building. You have to visit the original vaults in the basement which have been refurbished into an amazing space to relax and have a drink. Good selection of Welsh Beers on tap. It is well worth a visit just to... More

On first impression this cafe looked like a beautiful place to have a bite to eat, unfortunately this is not the case! Dirty knives and forks, snotty poached eggs, warm on the outside, cold on the inside quiche, deep fried fingers that had no resemblance to the fish that described its name, dry/tough hot beef bap with no gravy, asked... Only a 3 other tables in on a Sunday afternoon and staff seemed so stressed and flustered. Made me feel bad for ordering anything. Should have walked back out. Don't think they have ever heard of 'service with a smile'.

The cafe is nice and well decorated, food came out promptly and was very nice. The tea was very weak even with two bags in.. the one thing which bugged me most was the service. Boy was it lacking!! Would it kill to smile once and a while, maybe even greet your customers... Disappointed

Came here for some lunch today and left rather annoyed and upset. Upon walking in we were not greeted rather ignored and left to sit ourselves. We soon realised others were being ignored too regarding service. We ordered a panini and jacket potato, which in all fairness came quickly and tasted alright. We began to see other customers sitting impatiently... More

My colleague and I visit Conwy most morning's on our way to work and thought we would give this place a try. Bad move, we were greeted with a cold stare by both the waiter and the cook. We ordered two breakfast and teas. The speed of service was in all honesty good, albeit we were the only ones in... More

Called in for morning coffee - coffee and toasted teacake - and not disappointed. Great coffee (served with milk in tiny milk bottles that DON'T SPILL contents as you pour). Delicious teacakes that were wholemeal - another bonus in our book. Service friendly, fast, and courteous. Will be back.

We had already visited Conwys 'Love To Eat' earlier that day just for tea. (Had hoped to go to another afternoon tea type place, but they were shut). So, ended up here. Ordered two triple decker sandwiches, scones and tea. Made fresh. The bread was lovely and soft. Very tasty. The scones are fantastic. They come with butter, cream and... More
