We were impressed with this restaurant last year and here we are again. Drive past Conwy castle up to Llanwrst Road and look out for the sign on the left (only about 5mins) With amazing views wherever you sit. Love the colourful chairs and seating arrangements. Nice music playing in the background. All clean and tidy everywhere. Very well organised with happy waiting on staff. We tried the Beef roast, the Nut roast and the small dishes £6.50 (great idea) Carbonara with garlic bread and we asked for fries with one instead of bread, duly obliged 👍. Huge portion desserts 👏 and that cheese and biscuits was first class.

A friend and I visited this tucked away restaurant, it was my first visit, my dining companion having been several times. From different sources I had my hopes built up about the place so perhaps I was expecting too much and there was nothing actually wrong with the food or the service. I had a beautifully cooked bacon chop served with chips, an egg and a pineapple fritter and that was it, so it did do what it said “on the tin” but the plate was just lacking something, maybe a few peas or a side salad and the chips were served in a basket, a recent innovation that I am not a fan of. When I tipped them out I didn’t need both hands to count them, which was O.K. for me as I am supposed to be watching my weight but I would have regarded them as an insult as my former self! The place is in beautiful surroundings and the restaurant just lends itself to convivial dining but there’s something lacking, nothing sparkles as in the glasses on the table which, thanks to the sun shining in on this particular day, were “cloudy”, not shining and this could describe the whole place. It has fabulous potential which is just not being reached at the moment. However would I go again? Yes I would, which I suppose is the acid test of any restaurant.

I went there last night (had rung in advance as it’s a complex requirement)and advised them that I am wheat, yeast, carbs, sugar and dairy free and I have to say I was very impressed they could not do enough the part owner spoke to chef who sat down at the table and went through what chef could do for me, I have to say it’s the best food I’ve eaten in the last eight weeks and would definitely go there again, i didn’t feel I was missing out when my husband had his food as mine was equally delicious, saying that I have been here in the past on many occasions and can honestly say every time I’ve been I have had lovely food never a bad meal unlike some establishments I have been to. This place is a hidden gem and worth the visit, below is starter man and dessert. Thank you to all the staff at the Manor

The entire experience was the worst I've ever had. Had to wait 10 minutes at the barrier before someone even let us on to the site, then because there were absolutely no signs directing us to the manor we got lost. Not a great start but sadly it got even worse! After we got there the service was terrible, all the waiters were terribly rude. We'd been there for 30 minutes before we had to ask someone if we could have some drinks and then the waiter didn't think to ask if we wanted some food to go with them so we waited another 20 minutes before we had to ask if we could be served as we were starving and the waiter was very rude and impatient with us and it was as if it was all a massive inconvenience. We'd been there just over an hour before we got the starter which was a substantial portion but sadly wasn't great. Then when the main turned up I was very disappointed as it was disgusting and just tasted of cream which was awful. Very disappointed as I could have cooked something better at home for more than half the price. Although I was really looking forward to go there because of the good reviews. I would definitely not recommend because overall it was an awful experience and I feel you'd get better food and service at wetherspoons for half the price.

Poor impression from the start. Greeted by a casually dressed unenthusiastic waiter. He wore an oversized khaki sweat top, didn't seem appropriate attire for the venue, especially as the two other gents on the floor were dressed smartly in white/black shirts. After ordering mains we were told by khaki that they were out of lamb burgers, he didn't return with a menu. Decided on ribeye steak to be told they were out of that too...khaki wasn't very apologetic but said 'it's to be expected being one of the last tables of the night'. Our table was 8pm on a Saturday. Not sure what they were expecting to cook on Sunday? Maybe a pre-order should be put in place if they're struggling that much with stock for prime time eating. Went from bad to worse...both ordered sweet potato fries but received hand cut chips. Peppercorn sauce was like single cream with a few peppercorns. So diluted and tasteless we sent it back. Khaki never came back for a drinks order after we'd finished. Real shame as been here before and had a good experience. Mostly down to very poor service, wasn't made to feel comfortable or looked after. Not sure I'll go here again.

Found gaining access to the holiday park where the restaurant was a bit of a nightmare, no one answered the intercom or telephone when we tried to call to get let in at the barrier. Luckily someone staying at the holiday park, waiting behind us, was kind enough to let us in. We then proceed to try to work out where the restaurant was as there was no direction signs once inside the holiday park. Also noticed lack of signage indicating what doors were entry and exit due to Covid regulations. Already feeling a little bit put off we were shown to our table, which wasn't reasonably distanced from the next table. We were probably within a meter of the next table and also right on the edge of a walk way with several people walking past within a few minutes. When asked if there was another table available we were told no as the restaurant was fully booked. With this we felt for our own safety we'd rather not stay for food in what felt like an unsafe environment so proceeded to leave. Unfortunately I can't leave any impressions of what the food may of been like as we didn't get that far.

Firstly, let me apologise for the inconvenience you found yourself in while trying to gain access to the site. This is unfortunately a case of ‘preaching to the choir’ as we are in no position to change the way the site is accessed. We aren’t actually a business as a part of the Residential Lodge Park and so we are only able to piggyback off their security system. I must admit that a long wait is just not acceptable there so again, my apologies. Now, on to your next point is where I must unfortunately not offer an apology as not only are their 2 large red signs denoting the entrance to be of ‘NO EXIT’ but also the reverse is in place over the exit as well, this is something that has been in place since our reopening with a one way system almost 2 months ago. As for your issue with the table, I must whole-heartedly and respectfully disagree with your assessment of it being less than one meter from the next table. Having had an independent health and safety advisor perform an inspection of our table plan with regards to Covid-19 regulations, we have been assured that all tables are the correct distances away from other tables, including ones not in use. I apologise for us not being able to relocate you on the night in question, however, as you have stated, we were fully booked and this was a physical impossibility.

I booked a table at the Manor for my birthday. Arrived and had to a look around the grounds before we went inside, amazing views. Inside the restaurant we were shown to our table which was very noisy and no one eating, only drinking. A waitress came and took our drinks orders and when she returned with them we presumed she would take our food order but left before we had a chance to ask. Took a while to get the attention of another member of staff to order food and when he took our order he asked would we prefer a table somewhere quieter, we were very great full and were moved to what looked more like a restaurant, the food arrived and it was lovely. We asked a waitress (the only one who wasn’t wearing a mask) for a jug of water to have with our meal and it didn’t turn up, when I asked another member of staff I was told that staff often got amnesia and he would check for me, it was quite busy so I understood if it had been forgotten... it still didn’t turn up. The same waitress was quite abrupt when we asked to order drinks and came to us after we’d eaten deserts and asked “are yous waiting for something?” We asked for our bill and when we paid with cash over the amount due she didn’t offer any change or even say thank you when we took it to her at the bar, as by now we were fed up of constantly looking for staff to serve us. I understand the difficult times at the moment, but for such a lovely restaurant serving delicious food it’s such a shame the service lets it down.

Food was quite good but somewhat spoiled by the apparent lack of regard for any kind of Covid transmission awareness. No masks or visors worn by staff. Three different waiting staff attended our table. Cutlery was placed on table in front of us by a waiter who was very close and handled all the cutlery. There was no social distancing in evidence. I even witnessed a customer leaning on the bar chatting to the waiter who was pouring drinks - about two foot apart. My husband found the toilet dirty with urine all over the floor. The only concession to Covid safety was a hand gel dispenser at the entrance. Given that this restaurant is within a caravan park, it’s particularly alarming as the vast majority of customers will be from areas with higher rates of infection than here. Avoid until there’s a vaccine is my advise

Yes you deserve this review for our Sunday roast lunch. Pate was sooo delicious and creamy. That seafood stacker starter was also very tasty, compliments to the chef 👍. Beef, one pink and one well done both as good as each other 😂. Turkey dinners melt in your mouth and very generous thick slices of both meats 👏. Huge selection of vegetables nicely presented with crunchy roasties. For dessert those gluten free brownie was very light and yummy just right to finish off our fabulous meals. Also well done regarding covid protocol and layout of the immaculate dining room. Great service and quick service. Love this place with those amazing views, well worth the trip to Conwy.

We were a party of 10 and we had preordered. It was to good to see that the coronavirus had not scared everyone off. The restaurant was buzzing when we got there. Good atmosphere. Our food arrived promptly and the orders were all correct, all except mine. I had ordered the beef salad with absolutely no rocket underlined in red. It came with mostly rocket so I just ate the beef and when the waitress came over to ask if everything was OK I did explain about my meal. She obviously took the complaint back to the manager. We were allowed to finish our meal and remain chatting uninterrupted until we were ready to leave. Lovely evening. When I went to pay I was told my meal was taken off the bill - a nice touch. We go to The Manor about twice a year as a group and often with partners/friends etc and have always had an enjoyable experience.

My wife and I were looking for somewhere away from the hustle and bustle and found The Manor online, booked a table for this afternoon. So glad we did, what a beautiful setting and lovely building with a well appointed bar and restaurant. The staff are really helpful and friendly. My wife had the chicken supreme and said it was delicious, I had the pie with glazed red cabbage…. I cannot recommend this dish enough OMG the flavours blew me away just wait until you taste the gravy.. it’s just on another level and I’m not easily palmed off with sub standard food. Absolutely delicious 😋. We will certainly be back very soon. Thanks to the staff for a very warm welcome.

It was fantastic to return to one of our favourite restaurants! Lunch was excellent and all four of us really enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was smashing too and it was great feeling very comfortable being well spaced out in the restaurant. In the past we have introduced several local friends to The Manor and we will look forward to many more delicious meals there together.

I booked a table for 11 of us for Sunday lunch for a family meal on 8th May. On arrival, we sat outside for drinks as it was a beautiful day, we then went inside to our table, the restaurant was busy but had a lovely atmosphere, however, the service from all the staff was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone in our party were thrilled with their starters and main meals as were the children. Four of my family including myself had ordered the roast lamb, it was the best lamb we had ever had, it was delicious and served with a large dish of varied vegetables. The Manor has beautiful outside seating for drinks with spectacular views. We cannot wait to visit again very soon. Highly recommendable.

On 13th May 2022 it was our Golden Wedding Anniversary, so a few weeks before I contacted The Manor to see if I could arrange a special meal for just the the two of us. I asked if the Chef would prepare what we wanted rather than what was on the usual menu. The response was "We will if we can, what would you like." When we arrived a table had been prepared in the alcove by the door as I had asked. A spotless white table cloth was adorned with candles and a balloon and we were warmly welcomed. My wife enjoyed her delicious scampi and veg, and I enjoyed my " spot on" pork medallions and vegetables including delicious parsnip crisps. My only disappointment was that the Duchess Potatoes were over cooked and looked like roast potatoes. When I mention my disappointment to the Manager, he apologised, and said he would pass on my comments to the Chef. My large apple crumble was delicious with just the right amount of crumble on top of well cooked apple and just the right amount of cinnamon. My wife enjoyed her ice cream too. Several customers stopped by our table to offer their congratulations as they left to enjoy their drinks outside. Overall a most enjoyable experience, well prepared with excellent attentive service.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough!! Visited with my family for a lunch, we knew the Covid-19 rules so rang up to book in advance and nothing seemed too much hassle for them! Hand sanitiser when you walk in, staff were wearing marks, tables were socially distanced & I was very impressed. Everything arrived quickly from drinks to mains to pudding (I recommended the Crispy Beef Salad, incredible!!) and it was hot and perfect. Wouldn’t change a thing. Staff were pleasant and polite and happy to help us with everything. Absolutely 5 star and we’ll definitely be back.
