Decided to eat here again after visiting last year. The bar staff/waitress was just as helpful as last year. Nothing was too much trouble. The fresh Ceiriog trout was absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend. We ate here during the week so it was very quiet, but the service and food was great.

Had a nice meal here. Good prices and an easy menu to read. Nice to see locally sourced fish. Very polite and friendly staff. Will go again.

This is a promising looking place from the outside, but as soon as you enter you realise it is struggling. Marcus the owner trades on the fact that he is Swiss, and to be honest the Swiss based meal I had was ok. However my Wife's sea bass was a little uninspired with a 'sauce' that seemed to consist entirely... More

Visited this pub for evening meal (we were staying in a holiday rental cottage just up the road). Lovely menu - not too many choices (so you know that it's not all pre-made/frozen) & lots of local fish dishes. The service was very good - the waitress really helpful. Food was great - we really enjoyed the meals. Proper locals... More

I have visited the Glyn Valley Hotel several times, usually with my mother, and we always have excellent food. Yesterday we visited with my daughters aged 11 and 12. My mother had curry, my daughters the Penne Carbonara penne pasta, and I had the Mushroom Stroganoff Pancake. We all agreed that the food was excellent. My 12 year old daughter... More

We have recently moved to Glyn Ceiriog and the Glyn Valley is just a short distance up the road. My brother came to see us so we took him for a meal there. As it is out of season the young barmaid was on her own but still managed to turn out 3 well cooked, tasty meals within a reasonable... More

Stayed two nights with mates. Rustic inn ran by very friendly Swiss owner, Marcus, who incidentally, is a blinking good cook. Steak was delicious as was the black pudding starter (had that one two nights in a row). Bar staff very friendly. My single room failed the swinging cat test, but was newly decorated and very clean indeed. Tea provided... More

As it is so difficult to find a restaurant in The Ceiriog Valley, we had no option but to visit. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The menu was broad, with Swiss specialities, good prompt helpful service and good portions. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food and price was good. Maybe the room and bar is in need...
