All reviews sandwich gift shop horseshoe pass car park great cafe north wales fantastic views well worth a visit coffee and cake excellent value for money staff were very friendly hikers motorbike ride chips enthusiasts souvenirs
Coffe was awful, the cafe was filthy, planets of staff chatting that could have wiped the tables down. I won’t be back…
It has such potential to be a nice place but they obviously aren’t bothered, such a shame
Drove past pleased to see the place was open, at 3.10pm parked up signs clearly stated open 10 -4 when we went to the counter asked about hot food to be told. We are closed but your signs say 4pm ''yeah but we close at...3 '' If your looking for hot food give this a miss there is no warm, Welsh welcome here.More
Great cafe on a local scenic route. The food is good and competitively priced, there is also a small gift shop for little souvenirs but this was closed on my last visit. Car park full of motorbike and car enthusiasts, if your in to these...then you've probably already heard about this place. Well worth the drive up.More
We came up to the horseshoe pass to remember our Nan, we stopped in the cafe for a drink. We arrived about 3pm and got our drinks, sat down and drank them. We then decided to warm up a bottle for our 8 month old....As we were waiting for the bottle to warm (3:20ish) one member of staff kept turning off the lights and repeated “I need a mop bucket” “I have mopped down there” to other members of staff. We felt very unwelcome at this point as we had looked to see opening times and the website said 4pm. She then proceeded to turn off the lights which were above us. At this point we felt very rushed & decided to leave & ended up having to feed baby in the car. We asked the lady what time they closed, her reply was “well whenever we are tidying up now”. If the lady had come to us to say they were closing we wouldn’t have minded but the rude hints and comments to other members of staff really made us feel unwelcome.More
Just seen a review titled " Truly Awful" and am a little confused that this persons review is about the same place that my wife and I visited a few weeks ago.
No more to said about our experience, Just a very special place to...visit again and again etc etc etc

Ok I had read reviews before I went, and thought I knew what to expect. I was wrong. First was when pulling, easily, off the road to find a well laid out, tarmac car park. Plenty of space, but we were there 3.00 on a...Saturday in November. Then we just sat in the car and looked at the view. Followed by getting out to wander around about with cameras.
Going in, it was not unlike many cafes on the road side. yet everything was clean, in a good state of repair, functional. Used, but looked after. I was impressed with the standard it was being maintained at.
Ok my coffee came from a press button machine on the way to the till. (Like in Morrison's). I found an out of date cheese and pickle sandwich, which totally crumbled and fell apart in the box. Nevertheless edible and quite tasty. Everything for just over £3.
I shall be back.More
