Another fantastic visit! Whenever I’m over Holyhead way I always ensure we end up here
Really quirky place, themed around the outdoors. Bit like a surf shack. No frills place with excellent food and service.
We visited Friday evening, ordered the special spiced lamb platter and a gammon steak. Perfectly cooked
Like all hospitality businesses around the UK they were short staffed but worked hard to ensure we had d everything we needed and all with a smile behind the mask.
Felt very Covid safe, one way system, table service only, track and trace completed and lots of sanitiser to use.
Highly recommended! Really laid back place with great staff. Thanks to Ollie and Shay the front of house for looking after us so well.

Called in for a relaxed evening meal and wasn’t disappointed.
Specials board plus an extensive menu with good veggie options.
Front of house staff were all really attentive and friendly. There was plenty of sanitiser for us to use and tables were being cleaned regularly.
Food was piping hot when it arrived. For the price we were really surprised at the quality and quantity. Exceptional value.
Can’t wait to return

Not the easiest of places to find, even with a sat nav but persistence (and some locals) saw us arrive at what looked like the set of Western mining film.
The pub/bistro is located in a ramshackle building with decor that included a wall lamp created out of driftwood, Two oars that must have come out of the old slave ships and a kitchen bell to summon the waitresses. The bell was hanging in the bar and consisted of the bell with a dolls leg suspended from it . A cord was tied to the foot, wound it's way around the wall and into the kitchen where, no doubt, Chef gives a tug on the cord to make staff aware that a delivery was required. All in keeping with the zany feel to the place.
The Menu was pinned to a notice board and I reckon it probably changes daily. Order at the bar, service was pretty slick and the two staff took it in turns to check back. Got the feeling that they really wanted to ensure we were happy with our food and not the 'mandatory' check carried out in most places.
We had chicken curry and lamb curry. Chicken came with popadum and lamb with naan. Both dishes were excellent and tasty. Good hearty food.
When leaving, we realised that this seemed to serve a caravan park hidden in the hills behind. Fascinated by the number of kayaks, wetsuits, canoes etc yet saw no sign of water.
Wider exploration of this area needed methinks so hopefully go back.
In summary - a quaint, zany and must visit venue with great quality food and true customer oriented staff. Just don't look for frills but enjoy the experience. Brilliant place.

We were a group of 26 hungry outdoor lovers having our Xmas party. We were given a separate room so our fancy dress and laughs didn't interupt too much other diners ;) We were very well looked after from the minute we stepped in - drinks were served swiftly, everyone was given glass of water and then food started arriving. We provided them with pre-ordered choices and they asked each table who was sitting where. This meant I was able to switch off and enjoy the night and didn't have to worry about food arriving, who was having what etc... such a little touch but made a massive difference! Food was delicious and portions huge! So large some members that never struggle to finish a meal were defeated! Well done chef and the team! I never made it for cooked breakfast but heard it was delicious too!

Great food and beer, fairly priced. Lovely staff. I almost always meet old and new paddling friends there.
Because the food is cooked to order and The Paddlers is small and personal, service can get slower if it's very busy - so settle in for some good craic and another Snowdonia Ale while you wait.

We stayed at Anglesey Outdoors and ate at the Paddlers Return most nights. There was great anticipation every night waiting to see the specials go up! The food was very good and so was the beer. They seemed to cope very well with the restrictions in place due to COVID and the expected summer Welsh weather!

We looked at their website on choosing somewhere to eat, they offered fresh fish and lots of dishes the restaurant and grounds looked lovely and plenty on the menu. We struggled to find it and when we did it's a surf shack the outside looked neglected and nothing like the website photos. We went in and not the nicest place but we thought the food maybe ok she gave us this leaflet with about 5 choices saying they were only doing a small menu. I had scampi as you can't cock that up my partner had a burger when eating this it was raw in the middle which was like how do you f**k that up we don't think they had a chef so that's why limited menu would not recommend this place FALSE ADVERTISING

Vitiated twice whilst staying at a nearby caravan site.
Had fabulous food on both occasions. Although the menu is limited there’s some lovely choices & the food is really tasty. House wine is reasonably priced & decent enough.
Can recommend the chicken & chorizo tray bake, seafood linguine, & hake fillet with peppers & tomatoes.
Service is quick & the lady serving is helpful & friendly….came to chat to us both times we ate here.
We’re hoping to come back for another holiday later in the year & will definitely return & recommend to our friends.
Well done & thankyou the paddlers

Just love it here, we are lucky enough to ha e a caravan in Trearddur and always call in on a Friday evening for a pint and our tea. There is no shortage of choices on the menu and we have never eaten the same thing twice. The staff are great and cannot do enough for you.

Nice food. Been here lots over the years but right now it’s like travelling back to 2019. Staff and management have absolutely no interest in providing a remotely safe environment. Beyond getting a paper menu be prepared to be in the most covid unsafe place. Wouldn’t be surprised if management think the pandemic is a hoax.

Many thanks for reaching out to us. I am very concerned at your comments and also as a previous customer you did not raise your concerns directly to us.
As a business we have thought long and hard before reopening all sectors of the site. All our staff went through covid training and we have put in place many new working measures to ensure the safety of both our staff and customers..
The bar and eating areas are fully sanitised before, during and after service. We have reduced our indoor capacity by 50% to conform to social distancing rules. We also have a large beer garden where the tables are socially distanced.
Hand sanitiser is freely available across the site, menus are single use only and we operate a one way system through the bar area.
Some staff live on site and have created their own 'bubble' so do not need to social distance from each other.
We are operating a reduced kitchen staff to enable them to social distance which does mean waiting times may be slightly longer than usual.
We also operate track and trace.
I would welcome you calling in to see us any time to discuss the issues you have raised. Please feel free to email me direct. faye@angleseyoutdoors.com
I look forward to hearing from you.

Lovely chilled place. We stayed a whole week in the end (having arrived for 2 days) and ate here and drank a few times.
Lovely atmosphere and nice relaxed ambience. Staff friendly and food was good too. Just what you needs after a day exploring and adventuring. I would recommend Anglesey Outdoors highly and this place for eats and drinks. Good job folks.

This is a quirky/out-doorsy themed bar and eating place. The decor is simple - shabby-chic with a boating/kayak theme. The food is good quality with a frequently changing menu. friendly staff. = Great place

Really nice food and friendly staff. Great for families, couples or groups. We are there two nights running as it was hard to find anywhere else, and it was great both nights. They do great Welsh beer, very nice burgers and great chips. We had a fish curry the second night, which was excellent and freshly prepared. There were great veggie options too. Good indoor and outdoor dining spaces.

lovely relaxed atmosphere in this licensed cafe on a campsite and very good food, large portions too. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices reasonable. Really can't fault it. The campsite was a different matter, one of the worst I've ever been to. So stay somewhere else but pop into the cafe, they deserve your business.
