Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mixed feelings for this venue. We went for breakfast but were told there were only doing breakfast baps, not breakfasts, despite full breakfasts being on the menu. Their excuse was they were understaffed but that was only stated after much hesitation and didn't ring true sadly. Also, breakfasts seemed to be the only casualty that day. A shame because what we received was tasty and all the items available in the baps would have been on the breakfast plate, so that was very confusing. Sadly we would not be likely to return to eat here.

Lovely area, absolutely cannot flaw the natural beauty. We walked around the coastal path to breakwater country park which was wonderful.
Parking is a little steep as you can only pay for 1h or all day (£5).
Cafe had ok options, hot drinks were very basic but I was happy to see a vegan & GF flapjack available, although staff need allergen awareness training. I ordered a vegan flapjack and it was served using tongs previously used for cake that were covered in cream/icing, meaning my flapjack got non-vegan cream/icing all along the side which I had to cut off.
Cafe staff were also not the most welcoming. So overall nice if you need a pit stop & refuel after a long walk but wouldn’t visit specifically for the cafe.

We paid a visit to the RSPB South Stack Café after seeing the South Stack lighthouse on a rainy weekday morning in August. We had parked our car in the adjacent RSPB (pay & display) car park and on a rainy and blustery morning, the café looked very inviting when returning to our car.
The café is fairly large and on the morning of our visit was fairly busy. The café has tables and seating for customers and large picture windows giving good views of the coastline though the weather was closing in and the views were beginning to disappear in the mist. The café also appeared to have outside seating looking out over the cliffs but this was closed for our visit, probably due to the inclement weather.
The café is quite large and offers a good range of hot and cold drinks and snacks. Customer toilets are available inside. There is an RSPB shop by the entrance should you wish to purchase any souvenirs of you visit and support this worthy cause.

Pros:
Cleanliness, space, views.
Cons
Food poor value for money regarding portions. The soup especially. Served in mean and no doubt purposely issued RSPB branded shallow bowls. Means a very small portion is received.
Terrible!
Spoon top can still be seen when bowl is “full.”
Needs to be reviewed - urgently please.
Be fair with your customers!

Lovely light, clean and modern facilities with friendly staff and nice refreshments. We ordered a tasty Welsh rarebit and a very good cream tea, both to share as we only wanted a light lunch- the lady plated an extra portion of salad which I think was a nice touch. The food is from local suppliers and the profits go to the upkeep of the facilities and support of RSPB. At the lookout the staff were also very proactive and knowledgeable. With a little patience and fairly standard binoculars we were lucky to see nesting puffins on the nearby cliffs as well as razorbills and other birds. I don’t understand reviews which complain about the cost- they’re fairly standard prices and no obligation to eat there rather than pack a picnic if money is tight. The parking charge for a whole day is £5, which is considerably cheaper than any theme park or zoo you can take children to. We have three grown up children and a grand child and cherish these areas for their future and are glad to contribute to such a well run facility

We had hot drinks and cake. Everything was lovely. The service was good and staff friendly. We only learned of the full menu available after we’d ordered and plates looked generous and well presented. We’ll certainly be coming back soon for either a breakfast or a lunch.

Called for tea & cake after visiting South Stacks Lighthouse, this café should be re-named 'Dick Turpins' My husband ordered a pot of tea for two and a slice of cake each, which was no bigger than a Mars bar, £14! When my husband queried the bill, he was told that the slices of cake were £4.40 each, the young lady on the till said ' They are a bit expensive, sorry.' this on top of the £5 car park charge made it two visits in one for us, first & last!

Great reserve but poor quality food. Enjoying South Stack and the Choughs so stopped in the cafe for refreshments, pot of tea for 2 and 2 slices of cake. The cake reportedly lemon had no flavour and the cream was artificial. For £5.00 a slice it should have been better. At least the tea hit the spot.
It’s a shame when you feel like it’s a captured market. Couldn’t see any prices so you don’t know until you get to pay.

Highly recommend a visit to south stacks, Ellin tower is an excellent way to view the lighthouse, birds and sea life.
The visitors centre cafe is good and the views amazing
Parking is charged via a meter but recommend to park on the bigger visitors centre / cafe car park

We visited today with friends after a walk along the Welsh Coastal Path. We had two dogs with us, so we sat outside. After queueing and placing our order, our food was brought out quickly, and it was all delicious. The ham in the sandwiches was proper butcher’s ham, thick cut. My son had the home made sausage roll, and it was very good. You could tell it was home made, with lots of sausage meat and flaky pastry. I had the vegetarian lasagne, which was really good. I also had one of the delicious cherry scones, absolutely yum - fresh and fluffy. Staff were efficient and friendly. Toilets clean. Even the wind blowing our salad around couldn’t put a dampener on our visit! Would 100% return.

Decided to get a quick bite here before tackling the walk to the lighthouse. My husband, my son and I queued for nearly 40minutes as one poor girl made coffees and served customers. We gathered some sandwiches and crisps from the chilled area, but there were no gluten-free options. We also selected a bottled drink each. At the cake counter, there were 2 gluten-free cakes which my son picked up. So 2 sandwiches, 5 packets of crisps, 3 bottled drinks, and the cakes came to over £40! The receipt wasn't itemised so I have no idea why it was so expensive.
The cafe does have good views and the toilets were clean.
No 'specials' or other food was available.

The staff were unable to serve hot chocolate, with oat or dairy milk. Why, all you need is milk in cup, steam it and add chocolate, mystery!! They served coffee in disposable cups with plastic lids. When asked why, as we were standing in front of stacked cups and mugs, they said they were closing soon. Dim diolch I chi o gwbl, a dim siocled poeth i fi😥😥

Lovely cafe overlooking the sea. Only had a coffee and scone but it was very pleasant and clean in the cafe. The cakes looked delicious but were a bit expensive, however the lunch options seemed cheap 🤔 though we didn’t have the timing right to try any.

The cafe and RSPB shop is located just up the cliffs from Elens towers overlooking the cliffs of south stack, the location is stunning and this cafe offers sweeping views over the landscape and out to sea from its windows.
Service is great and they home bake the largest and tastiest scones on the island with real Welsh clotted cream. Amazing.

We visit here very often as we live on the lovely island of Anglesey. We've often introduced friends & family to this lovely spot and we always enjoy the food, drinks & views. However on visiting this afternoon, we were very disappointed. The coffees were not up to usual standard and the cake was very small portion for £4.40!! We understand that prices must increase from time to time, but this is unrealistic pricing. So altogether our little trip for 2 coffees & 1 slice of cake + parking charge, total of £13.70 for half-hour.
