Dined here on a Saturday night in February and it was completely packed which shows how popular it is with both locals and tourists. In fact it was so full we sat outside, which is fine as they put up a shelter, there's heat lamps, blankets and candles which gave it a great scandi vibe which we loved and we were plenty warm enough. There was also a great atmosphere outside and this is obviously a very social place. We had a couple of pizzas and a couple of glasses of wine. The pizzas were really good, great ingredients and perfectly cooked (get some of the garlic yoghurt it's amazing!). Also the wine was really good (shiraz and sauvignon blanc) and all reasonably priced. Only negative is it shuts promptly at 9pm so if you havent ordered til late you won't be able to stick around long but it obviously works for them. This is a not-for-profit organisation that takes environmental issues very seriously, and that certainly made me feel it was a good way to spend my wine and pizza money!

Found this wonderful pizzeria to eat out at,they had put benches & tables out under a canopy for you to eat at.
They had a good system, you ordered at one window where you paid, cards only, you were given a number & picked the order up from another window.
We shared a ham, mushroom, cheese pizza between us as they were quite large & very filling, tasty too.
Pleasant young lady served us,we ordered the pizza, plus a latte & a tea ,came to £15 .70 in total, good value in a tourist area.

Vegan pizza can be brilliant. It can also be terrible.
Hangin’ Pizzeria is certainly at the brilliant end of the spectrum!
Low key, order at the counter model works well, and doesn’t leave you feeling pressured or rushed.
I ordered a vegan pizza with some extra toppings, along with a beer (all the beers I was told are vegan).
After a very short wait, my freshly cooked pizza was brought to my table, and was easily the best Vegan pizza I’ve had! Crust was delicious, with good quality tasty toppings.
The stout was a little disappointing, but very much a personal preference (and not anything the venue could do anything about anyway!).
Will definitely return next time I’m visiting.

I visited Hangin Pizzeria last Sunday, and it was by far the worse pizza I have ever had.
Before going away for the weekend, I did loads of research on places to eat, and this place was on my list. I ordered a No 2, which was Mediterranean toping. It didn't take long to arrive, and we decided to eat our pizzas in the nearby park.
My finger was black from the soot from underneath the pizza, which shows the oven wasn't clean.
I picked up the first slice, and the toppings all fell off.
There was no browning colour on the cheese which was hardly melted, and the base was barely cooked.
I'll go as far as to say in parts it was raw dough.
Im so upset that I choose here thinking ill get a decadent artisan pizza after seeing the website, but what I got was worse than a child's play dough pizza.
I have emailed Hanglin asking for my money back, and five days have now past and not even a reply, so not only do they serve the worse pizza's but their customer communication skills are non-existent, so I wanted to share the feedback to fellow my foodies and pizza lovers. From my recent visit, I suggest they avoid.

We visited this place thanks to a local reccomendation and after reading previous reviews and thought it was excellent. Service is take out only but we (like many others) were happy to sit in the park opposite to eat. We visited on a weekday term time at 6pm and by 6.20 we had 2 freshly cooked pizzas which were delicious. I can see how this place can get busy at peak times but service seems to be streamlined so as long as your patient then its worth the wait.

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. We gorged on the cheese and meat platter, served with a hot flatbread and the special meatball pizza, with an excellent side salad. Absolutely delicious, even had to bring some of the cheese home as we couldn’t manage it all. Our two dogs loved the venue too - unmissable. Thank you Hangin’ Pizza for all you do for conservation too.

Enjoyed a good pizza and locally brewed beer. Young staff were friendly and helpful. Good value. We arrived shortly before they stopped taking food orders and on a quiet night (Monday in March), we where in the place on our own by the time our food arrived and the staff where obviously ready to pack up, but they did not rush us.

Staying at the nearby Riverside Caravan site we could cross the railway and get to the excellent takeaway pizza place within a few minutes' walk. The pizzas were all we'd hoped for and we got a beer while we waited then sat on a nearby bench to devour them. Would have been 5 stars if it'd been a bit quicker but they are obviously incredibly busy with phone orders as well as drop-ins like us.

Whilst COVID restrictions still in place we visited on the day when the pizzeria reopened for take away service after the long shut down.
I must say it looked very organized from the outside with clear signage advising where to order and collect. There was plenty of room for social distancing outside and we didn't need to wait too long for our pizzas to arrive. They smelt lovely through the box and looked very appetizing.
Once we tasted them both my partner and I agreed this was the best pizza we have every had in the UK!!
It was made from quality ingredients and the dough was crispy but not dry and tasted lovely. On the top it wasn't soaked with tomato paste (like in most pizzerias) but had enough with beautiful quality cheese on the top. We could taste every flavour separately and could not fault it in any way.
Well done Hangin' team!! You have certainly raised the bar in Betws-y-Coed, which has been crying out for quality eating places for a very long time. We can’t wait to come back!

Been here a few times and have have no complaints eating outside, didn't wait long and never noticed the hygiene star rating but everything looked in order. The pizza number 7, chillies replaced with olives was probably amongst the best I've ever had and I've eaten pizza in many parts of the world.
To all the moaners, if the queue is long be prepared to wait, if it's raining you could get wet, if it's winter you may be cold, if the pizza is hot that's because it been in an oven, if you want something fancy with all the side trimmings go elsewhere.

Was recommend this pizza place by some friends. What a great place. We drove 40mins from our campsite to come here. When we arrived, the queue was massive and went down very quick, buy time we ordered our pizza they said it was a 45min wait, but omg the wait was well worth it. Best pizza we’ve ever had. We had also tried the Orangutan Lager which was very nice. Would highly recommend this Pizzeria.

Came across Hang In Pizzeria yesterday whilst visiting Betws-Y-Coed. We’d originally walked past and saw how nice the pizzas looked and decided to definitely head back to have our lunch there. The eating area was outside and well covered. We ordered a pizza each, I went for ham and mushrooms and my boyfriend had the ham, salami and chilies. Great ordering service, we grabbed a table as a couple was leaving and within 10 minutes the pizzas were ready.
They were so delicious!!! Thin based and lots of filling. This place is a little gem & would definitely recommend. I wished I’d also tried the garlic bread as that looked amazing too. If you’re in the area I’d definitely call by and treat yourself!!
Keep up the great work guys.

Great pizza. We chose both 7 and 8 and scoffed them down within 15 minutes. Absolutely delicious and very well made. Number 7 was slightly spicy but so delicious. Asked for a dip if they had any and they gave us garlic butter which was nice for the crusts. The only ever so slight downside is the over an hour wait for the pizzas to be made after ordering. We were lucky we were staying nearby so just nipped back to our room to relax and then walk the 2 minute journey to the pizza shop when it was time to collect. Not as much space to eat outside the shop unless you go into the park across the road and sit and in summer there are plenty of bugs around so just one thing to be aware of. Some people are on the tables like a hawk as soon as someone leaves they swoop in and sit down immediately. Just something to be aware of as the shop is takeaway only at the minute. Overall great pizzas.

Excellent pizza. Terrible business when it comes to waste.
Pizzas were amazing. This place always had a queue outside it and I can see why. Delicious.
However it is extremely disappointing that they don't take responsibility for their pizza boxes, of which they must hand out tens or hundreds a day... This business must generate so much waste!! Also, they just said to put the boxes in the bins around the area. We had no idea whether Conwy Council recycles contaminated cardboard as we weren't local .. our local council doesn't accept pizza boxes as all recycling has to be completely clean. It'd be helpful if the establishment could offer more guidance on which bins to use, as betws-y-coed is obviously a popular tourist area!

Had been given a few suggestions to go here when in the area so stopped by on Sunday evening.
When we arrived it was outside seating only & a queue of 4 people in front of us. Waited 10 mins then ordered, was advised it would be 40 ish minutes but it looked worth the wait.
Grabbed a nice bottle of Welsh cider & a bench table nearby. Staff were calling out order numbers when they were ready.
Quite a nice atmosphere, lots of friendly customers & a fair bit of seating.
I ordered a cheesy pizza with feta mozzarella and Stilton and my friend ordered caramelised onion & other things I’ve forgotten!
35 minutes later our number was called, very very good pizza, not too thick a base with lots of topping pretty much cooked to perfection!
It was so cheesy I couldn’t eat it all so I saved 2 pieces and took them up Snowdon the next day! Still just as nice!
