Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Walking holiday in Betws. This cafe is a little oasis after a long walk. Excellent welcoming staff. Good service. We had a perfectly cooked bacon bap as per our request well presented. To die for. Would recommend.

My boyfriend wanted breakfast before a long journey home. We had looked at the waterfall walk here and saw the cafe. What a gem. Lovely place. The two staff members we met were very welcoming and explained they were short staffed, and yet coffee and...food were out within minutes. Food was quality and presented well. Service was excellent as was the atmosphere. Set us up perfectly for the day. 10/10 Waterfall walk was beautiful also.More

My husband & I stopped here for lunch. I inquired about gluten free food was asked if I had an allergy or an intolerance. I have Celiac disease which is neither. So, I said an allergy but was happy to eat non GF containing food...& fully aware kitchen could not guarantee cross contamination. The manager then refused to serve me. I did explain I was happy with the situation & she very reluctantly & rudely agreed to serve me, but made sure I knew I was not getting whole grain mustard, as "people with allergies" shouldn't be served it. I did try to explain whole grain mustard does not contain gluten, but she wasn't having any of it. I've never been treated as if I can't be trusted to make my own food choices before. I suggest the manager receives some customer service training. Doesn't look as though this is the first time staff here have treated customers with dietary requirements with rudeness either. Very poor experience.More

Several vegan options on the café's menu, including the vegan "bacon" bap I had - lovely! The staff are very friendly and helpful, even 'though they were very short staffed due to illness when we visited. Access to the cafe itself is tricky for some...disabled people, as it is up half a dozen steps. The toilets are adequate, and accessible to people on crutches. Good car parking.More

Stopped in as we were staying in Benar Cottages down the road (fantastic place). We had a veggie and vegan breakfast which came out quick and hot. The Stokes condiments was a great option, much bigger portions and tasty. Both breakfasts were tasty, the sausages...were lovely. We would defo come back again.More

When I heard that this place offered gluten free Welsh Rarebit I had to try some. It really was superb - and not a bit like expected. The perfect place for breakfast 🍳 🥓 🥪 ☕️. Really good quality coffee and lots of choice of hot and cold drinks. The pineapple 🍍 juice was delicious too. Excellent range of choices for breakfast. The Snowdon breakfast was really lovely, tasted fantastic and the...presentation was perfect. Staff are welcoming, friendly, patient and polite and cannot do enough to help customers. This is absolutely the best breakfast in the area. Well behaved dogs 🐾 are welcome and there are plenty of places to sit on a sunny day. Will definitely visit again.More

I entered the cafe and waited at the counter while the staff finished serving a couple of people in front of me. Neither member of staff acknowledged me at all until the room was utterly devoid of other customers and they had no other place...to look - I didn't feel welcome at all. It was 1pm and they had no bara brith or Welsh cakes and just one scone left. The staff member tried to upsell some larger, more expensive cakes to me, but I still felt unwelcome, so I left without ordering anything.More
