Amazingly friendly and cosy relaxing place for a welcome drink near the foot of Snowdon/Llanberis. Even open on Christmas Day !! We will definitely be visiting again whether or not we are walking Snowdon. Thank you Steffan and Team.

My wife and I visited this dog friendly tea room twice - the first time on a wet and blustery day while we were exploring the base of the Llanberis path - and the second, two days later, on returning from an eight hour walk to the summit of Snowdon. We were made most welcome on both occasions, had lovely... More

Stefan the host couldn't have been more helpful. We had (somehow) made it up the steep hill with my Dad in his electric wheelchair. Although there are no big steps, one small gap between stones nearly put pay to our plans but Stefan found a piece of wood to bridge the gap and Dad made it in via a ramp... More

Coming off Snowdon down our escape route and drenched to our skins with adventures in snow, ice, hail and rain, we spotted the light of Pen-y-Ceunant. It was literally the first friendly house we passed entering the village in the dark on our November adventure. We arrived at closing time but nothing was too much trouble for the owner and... More

The reviews for this place speak for themselves. But I must add my own too. I remember camping in the area with 2 friends when I was 16 and we met the owner for the first time. He was exceptionally helpful, kind and generous to us and it was one of those moments that just stayed in my mind. So,... More

After a very tiring day of doing Snowdon we called in to this cafe on our way back to the car. We were absolutely freezing as it had been In the minus figures at the summit. We were greeted by Steffan who immediately made us feel more like old friends than customers. He got us a clothes rack out to... More

Very welcoming owner (Steffan) immediately went to great lengths to make us feel welcome. Excellent hot chocolate and bara brith. Location is fantastic, views are great and the building itself is beautiful. Highly recommended.

We stopped here after the hike to Snowdon. We were so grateful that the tea house is still open as it was already late and everything else in the area was closed! We ordered the renowned hot chocolate and Triple DDD cider and enjoyed our well-deserved break. The staff was incredibly friendly and the place is very cozy. I highly... More

I visited this cafe earlier in the month with some friends. Most of them had never done any hillwalking and I threw them in the deep end so to speak with a cold, cloudy ascent using the Watkin path. At the summit, whilst eating our lunch I had a mutiny, my fellow walkers would not be retracing their footsteps! A... More
