We visited Snowdonia for the first time with the plan to walk the mountain. Not a great day weather wise and following the cold, wet and misty ascend and descend we were grateful to receive the warm welcome to a quaint and warm cafe. Coffee, tea and cake by the roaring fire were perfect and we couldn't help trying the... More

After a hike up Snowdon host Steffan made our day with stories, delicious coffee and warm fires. Friendliest place ever. A place to warm the soul.

This was the warmest welcome we've ever received. The host just loves people. Very knowledgeable of the local area and services and cannot do enough to make your walk/stay enjoyable. We would encourage anyone to pop in for a visit. It's just as you start the Llanberis path to the summit. We left with a walk through the woods, knowing... More

Stopped after an exhausting rush up the 'Wee hill'. Instantly made to feel welcome. The hot chocolate, real class and the cake very local and very tasty. Others arrived with a very tired dog who was able to warm his bones by the lovely fire. Steve and his staff know how to treat the weary walker. My wife noted there... More

My husband and I, along with our boy Monty, walked to the top of Snowdon on 19th April. As the halfway cafe does not accommodate dogs, we decided we would reward our efforts with a stop at this cafe, which we noticed would accommodate us all at the end. I can't thank the staff, and owner enough for the lovely... More

I am not one for writing reviews but the service here warrants it. The owners are brilliant at making you feel welcome. They cared for my dog's needs as much as they cared for my own. Excellent service.............Hard come by these days.

We visited here after our walk up and down Snowdon on Thursday 20th April. Pen y Ceunant is a piece of heaven after a long walk. Super staff, amazing coffee and beer. A must place to visit if you are in the area.

Stopped here for tea and bara brith after a walk up Snowdon. With the feel of a traditional Welsh cottage you will be guaranteed a very warm welcome. Pen-Y-Ceunant is well worth a stop to refuel after a walk in the mountains and Steffan the host is passionate about Snowdonia and is happy to share his local knowledge with visitors.... More
