What a beautiful campsite! We camped right on the shores of Llyn Cwellyn with views of Snowdon and it was stunning. The shower block and toilets are fantastic - warm, heated underfloor, clean. Whilst you can't park your car next to your tent there is trolleys provided to help transport your stuff along the boardwalk. It's only a 10 minute... More

This little pub from the outside welcomes you into an amazing tastefully refurbished cottage pub, beautifully done. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding, the best sirloin steak I have ever had!! If only we could pick this pub restaurant up and take it back to Nottinghamshire!

Managed to be squeezed in early evening for a one course meal on a one night break in the area. Charming staff and an appreciation for those with special diets. I focus on my mushroom and goat's cheese tortellini with red cabbage accompaniment which was heavenly. Top notch bistro fare in a far flung corner of Snowdonia - bag a... More

Meals here were very nice - bit fancier than most pub meals but also more expensive. There is a log fire but not many tables in that area so worth nabbing one if weather is a bit chilly.

Accommodating pub serving a good range of food & local ales. Very busy on a Saturday night but service was not compromised. Starter of smoked trout not quite what I expected presented more like smoked mackerel than the smoked salmon that I assumed but still OK & a perfect poached egg. The fish pie was good as was my companions... More

Fist time visit to try out the food with the view of booking a table for six in the week with friends for my birthday, sorry but disappointed, my wife had Ploughman's lunch which came with Baguette, three very small pieces of cheese, butter and two tubs of pickle and to fill out the plate a pile of salad leaves,... Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you were not happy with your food. I have discussed this with both the chef on duty and the bar manager and was informed as follows: - Your Ploughman’s Lunch was the third served in the first hour of service. The second Ploughman’s served was on recommendation from the first customers... More

I Visited Cwellyn Arms with group of 8 friends after our hike up Snowdon, hoping for a hearty meal and a decent pint. We had a brilliant meal, the menu offered what you'd expect from a country pub, with a few more exotic choices like guinea fowl and duck. When the food arrived we were really impressed, the presentation was... More
