Stunning food, relatively small menu ( particularly for vegetarians ) but wow.... just brilliant and great value too for the food on offer. We don't normally take pictures of our food and bore family members but yes it happened.

Christmas Meal on Wednesday 7th Dec 2016. No one else in restaurant except us (20) so not over busy. Plate was cold, turkey was 2 slices that were half fat and one slice was all fat! Never had that much fat on pork never mind turkey! Veggies came and were stone cold. Must have been cooked early in the day... More

I love this place and on my previous visit forgave the disappointment of being refused the table I had particularly requested (and as promised) for a special family occasion as, after some discussion we were allowed to use that table as we were eating three hours earlier than the guests for whom the 'reserved' notice had been applied. The food... More

Just returned from the Plassey caravan park. We had a meal in the Shippon restaurant on the first night (Tuesday). The restaurant is set in old farm buildings and is really nice. There was not much atmosphere on the night we went as it was very quiet. The waiter was pleasant albeit fairly reserved. The food was average - I... More

Set in magnificent grounds it's a lovely setting for any time of the year. I had an ample serving of roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding with a separate self serve of numerous veggies for the table. A little bit shy with the gravy serving but I usually like my potatoes swimming so can't really complain.!.. The wife had a desert... More

Based in the former stables, this restaurant is in the Plassey estate. It serves reasonably priced meals for kids and adults. Husband and self both had the calves liver which is sublime.

Ate here whilst staying on the camp site for a couple of days. The setting is beautiful, in the old stables, but the food was decidedly average and certainly not cheap. Not impressed at all. Would we go back? No
