Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and my husband popped in while passing through the area. Decided to have something to eat and I rated the food! Deffo worth stopping by. (Compliments to the chef) Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a nice place for a beer.

We ordered our steak and a mixed grill. Lovely food. But shame the chef didn’t read our order. We asked specifically for no side tomato and peas. Yet it came with these plus garlic mushrooms which wasn’t mentioned on the menu for a steak. The...mixed grill was missing items. Food lovely, but think the chef was half asleep!! Stick to the menu as some people can be allergic to food items and specially ask for items to be removed due to this. Steak on both meals was over cooked. Asked for rare and medium to rare. Both came out medium to well done.More

I visited here on burger night for a family meal and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Ordered the lamb & mint pie and had a lovely meal. I did look however enviously at the burgers as the portions looked incredible!

Recently taken over by a local family. A great choice of dishes, very competitively priced. The meals were delicious and the staff very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be returning as I have it on good authority that Sunday lunch is excellent. Well done 👏.

Great service. There were some delays with food due to how busy they were but they then gave us puddings for free and some money off which were greatly appreciated. The lamb was good, the Yorkshire’s and roast potatoes were tasty and cooked very well....Would highly recommend and we will Most certainly be back for another Sunday dinner- the best I’ve had in a long time!More

We arrived ten minutes early and were shown to our table drinks ordered straight away. Our order was taken for dinner which took over 35 minutes to arrive. After we had our dinner my husband noticed all the other tables had two different servings of...veg which we received just one greens over cooked and mushy. We ordered a dessert and waited and waited again the waitress came up to us and said the boys are running slow in the kitchen which I relied this is not good. half an hour later we received our desserts and my husband asked for the bill straight away rather than us having to wait again. Not impressed at all. When you take bookings you should be prepared for the amount of people booked for a quick turnover .... this did not appear to be the case.More
