Great lunch. We didn’t book and lucky to have gotten in as it was a bit busy. Lovely lunch choices. Service was fast and good. The desert menu wasn’t that great and a bit confusing as not all the pictures on the back they had....Great fish options too. Lovely atmosphere very light and modern. When we got coffee after our lunch it would have been great to have more non dairy options.More

In this day and age within the hospitality industry you're normally asked if you have any allergies a few things concerned me on my visit . My Mother has an allergy to parsnips so we were concerned to if the chips and saute potatoes were...cooked in the same fryers as the parsnip crisps on the Tapas menu . I have a allergy to fish and was extremely disappointed to see the display cabinet full of meat next to all the fresh fish just separated by a few cabbage leafs I would of thought this was cross contamination by being so close to each other as having a fish allergy this concerned me and made me feel physically sick . I must say the one thing I did notice was this is an extremely busy restaurant and the whole team work together in harmony . Service was extremely good and prompt the food was served piping hot and was delicious and full of flavour . There is an excellent choice of menu items . I will return as the service is so good but next time I will ask if they have any fresh meat stored away from the fish in the cabinet fridge .More

Visiting my home town had an evening meal. Very good. But, the same couldn't be said of the lunch. Had the fish(frozen) or seemed like, flat hard batter, chips warm at best and not many. It didn't seem like the same restaurant. My wife had...a steak to forget, what was there of it. 4 of us just under £100 with bottle of wine and a beer. O.k not a fortune but deserved better than was served.Evening good, lunch forget.More

The food was good but not exceptional. I admit though that we did go with the 2 course (starter + main) - I am sure the a la carte would have been better (judging from the quality of the meat & fish in the display...counter). We visited on a very busy Thursday afternoon lunch period. I am not sure whether it busy due to other of Bridgend's top restaurants not being open for lunch that day or due to reputation. Because busy we sat in the conservatory area which was very very noisy The view from the restaurant surpassed expectation - the courtyard really did transport you to Spain - such a shame that the weather that day did not match! The coffee was excellent and overall experience good. The only real downside was the drinks service - a chase up was required to get the glasses of wine ordered! I would love to return and but "a la carte" to really be able to judge the restaurant against its competitors in the area!More

Probably the best restaurant in Bridgend. Beautiful surroundings, attentive staff and stunning food. Can’t wait to return.

Let me start off by saying that the food was excellent, once ordered it arrived quite quickly and was an excellent quality. What let the venue down was the initial service, on arrival (we were 5 to 10 mins early) we were told the table...was not ready and could either come back later or sit in their outside space until it was ready. This was the option we chose. Personally, I would have expected us to be offered a drink while we waited but no one did we were left alone until our table was ready. When we got to the table there was still no signs of any staff to take a drink order. After a wait we had to waive at them (several times) before they came over. Drinks eventually arrived, but then they forgot the glasses for the wine and didn't bring enough for the water. Food service however was much better and this went quite smoothly. Overall a good experience but it seems that a bit of leadership and direction needed front of house.More

We came here after having a lovely meal the last time with family. The decor is lovely and clean and a pleasant welcome when we arrived. We felt a little rushed as soon as we sat down with about 3 people asking what we wanted...to drink and one person even asking if we knew what food we wanted when we hadn’t even got to page 2 of the menu. My partners drink arrived and after being told mine was on its way i had to ask again after my starter had arrived and was told they would need to check the order incase it wasn’t on there. So after starting my starter the drink arrived. The starters were delicious however the presentation was a little lacking with a few green leaves and a few shreds of carrot. The most disappointing was the steak. I like a well done steak but this was medium at best. I did mention it but decided to swap with my partner as his looked a bit better for me. Unfortunately his was very gristly so I left it. No desserts ordered. I don’t think we will go back which is a shame as the previous meal was outstanding.More

Impromptu meal here whilst in the area. Set lunch menu very good value for money and delicious. Staff friendly and attentive. Would go back if in the area for sure
