Couldn’t recommend the North Star enough. There’s always a good selection of entertainment through the week, inc a pub quiz or cabaret. The Sunday lunch is always excellent quality and great value. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and make a real effort to...engage with you whilst you’re there. The pub, also, is very dog friendly - they even came to the table to give a small portion of Sunday lunch to our dog when we were there. It was really kind of them and he really enjoyed it! We visited the North Star with my family (there were 13 of us) for Easter Sunday lunch. We were shown to our table by the manager. I explained my youngest had a range of allergies and he could not help me enough. He made sure...she felt the same as everyone else and that she had a delicious and nutritious meal. The lamb dinner was exceptional and the service was the match the foods high standards. When we went to leave the manager came over with some chocolate for the kids and had gone to the Tesco next door to find some brownies that my little one could eat. This is above and beyond anything I have every experienced with a child with allergies. What a fantastic place. I cannot recommend the food or service highly enough. Came here after looking for a place that did a Sunday Roast. It didnt disappoint. The website says the roast is the best in Cardiff. Can't argue with that. I went for the beef, my wife had the pork belly, daughter had the vegetarian Wellington...and my other daughter didn't fancy a roast so had loaded top fries. I cant think of a place where ive visited and had a better roast. Highly recommended.More

What an amazing Sunday lunch. Chicken was cooked to perfection. Great selection of veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Not often I skip dessert but the main course was so filling there was no room for dessert. Maybe next time.More

Popped in for lunch and was really impressed on several aspects. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There is a pool table and tvs showing sport, the pub had a nice feel to it and is inclusive for all. Great menu and food was...delicious- will definitely go again!More

The very best buffet I've ever had! Absolutely incredible, will 100% be getting a buffet here again in the future. I'll book a group party here again just to have the buffet. Hats off to the chef!
