Yes it's a weatherspoons and yes, you will recieve much the same service, food and ambiance in the next weatherspoons half a mile down the road. However, the staff here are very friendly. Service is very quick too. Overall very good!

We have not been in here for a while, being in the area at the time we wanted to eat decided to try it again. Because it was busy we would have expected to wait at least 20 minutes for service, but we didn't lucky if it was five minutes. The breakfast came, I touched the plate it was cold.... More

The Ernest Willows is a good value city centre pub. Excellent selection of real ales and other beers. Could do with a better selection of draught ciders. Busy bar but staff are quick and you aren't kept waiting long. Good place for a few drinks at reasonable cost.

We stopped by here a few times whilst in Cardiff. The food was good. I had fish and chips with curry gravy. Staff and customers very friendly.

I often call in here if I stay on Newport Road. Whilst I wouldn't say the pub is one of Wetherspoon's finest, I do find it a decent place to go and enjoy a quiet drink in the evening. The beer selection is good the IPAs well kept. I enjoyed a curry and a pint last time I was down... More

The title says everything... Really bad service, the staff looks miserable. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I never wrote in my life a bad review but this time I'm really disappointed. I've been to the Ernest willows's pub with my family tonight at 9.21pm, for the first time. I ordered how you can see from the receipt 5 adult meals and 1 child menu without knowing children are not allowed to stay inside the restaurant after... More

I have visited this pub weekly for several years. The pub now has a poor food hygiene rating which I find shocking for a large chain. Today's meal was very poor. Chicken breast so hard round the edges I could only eat the middle bit. Last week's pasta microwaved hard. Waiters did not check in with me today but no... More

I visit this pub a lot as its in a convenient location to me. I have never had any issues with food or service. The atmosphere is usually nice, often not too busy. My main piece of advice would be to visit the toilets!! You won't regret it!

Pub was ok clean, big, nice atmosphere staff pleasant. Went in for breakfast asked for eggs benedict (poached eggs) never had any poached eggs so changed order to full breakfast which came with a fried egg what does that tell you. A friend asked for salmon bagel didn't have any salmon. We went in at night for a meal we... More
