They had a selection of what looked like homemade cake on offer, I tried the lemon and ginger cake, it was delicious it was also a vegan recipe my husband had a large slice of Victoria sponge which he also really enjoyed. Christmas present from my girlfriend. Still sat here in front of an unfinished slice of cake! Great service, lovely food and good portions! Great value for money in a wonderful setting nestled between the shops and the park! They were lovely to us and our 1yr old daughter. Don't miss out, come here when you can

I will add that this was in the same day, we had a nice light lunch, they have a choice of sandwiches & salads all freshly prepared. On our return visit we sampled excellent cakes that I understand are baked in their own bakery, a good selection of loose leaf tea & all served with a calm efficiency. It's a... More

Stumbled into the tea rooms on our way to the rugby and we were delighted with it. We had a full tea and we got to choose out our cake. Good quality kind service and busy there were people stacked up waiting and being turn away at one point. Excellent

This is a beautiful tea room next to Cardiff Castle but given its small size it is rather pushed in terms of room for the number of customers it drawers in. We certainly felt that the focus of the staff were on afternoon tea customers rather than us who just wanted a coffee and a slice of cake and we... More

Great location at the entrance to Cardiff Castle. Welcoming and helpful staff. Original style decor, furnishing and crockery. Small and cosy with home made produce including the bread. Highly recommended for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. Very popular cafe.

We liked the fact you could choose your sandwich fillings, your slice of homemade cake and your tea with lots and lots of choice of all. All very fresh and homemade. service great too. only slight drawbacks some of sandwiches... More

My friend and I went to Pettigrew for afternoon tea last week and was very pleased. Sandwiches, scones and the cakes were all really good. The service was great too. The cafe was full and we we're lucky to get a table. I can recommend making a reservation. Overall a really good experience, and I can definitely recommend the place.

We popped in recently for tea and cake, it definitely lived up to expectations! A warm welcome, a quaint and pretty interior, accommodations were made for us as we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views of the park! Delicious cake with plenty of interesting options on the menu, the tea was also delightful with a wide range... More
