I cannot complain about the quality of the food. Three of us had scallops for starters which were okay. The lamb to share was good, tender, moist and a substantial portion. One person had fish for main which looked like a starter compared to the lamb. No desserts. We shared 3 bottles of wine between 6 of us at the... More

Went for lunch , difficult to get parked , ordered tapas and told there had been no fish delivery . No dishes with octopus , no black sausage , no rice with squid ink cooked because fridge had broken , grilled prawns arrived with no lemon and they tasted " off "sent back to kitchen . The room was cold... More

This place is a real Catalan food place. The staff if very nice and always happy to help. The "croquetas" and "patatas con chorizo" are some of the dishes that will impress you

A unique restaurant for Cardiff. Rustic/Habitat decor with helpful knowledgeable staff. Our party of four had a mix of tapas and a la carte. Excellent authentic cooking with heavy meat tapas reminiscent of my pyreneean rambling days and creamy turbot. Choosing wine was not easy as it is all Catalan wines that are not familiar to me but the waitress... More

This great little restaurant specialises in Catalan food and has a great chef, helpful Spanish staff and a good Spanish wine list The scallops were beautifully cooked, as was the set cod and monkfish. 'Specials' included beautifully slow roast rabbit All the dishes were really tasty - a gem of a restaurant!

La Cuina is easily my favourite restaurant in Cardiff. The food is different to anywhere else and, whether it's the Tapas or the main menu, is always superb. It is a small restaurant with a small kitchen so at times you may (if busy) have to wait a bit longer than usual but the atmosphere is relaxed, warm and friendly... More

We visit La Cuina regularly but thought it warranted another review as we had another lovely meal there last night. The combination of tasty, well cooked dishes, excellent and friendly service and cosy atmosphere is always a winner at this unique Catalan restaurant.

Very inviting atmosphere for a pre-Christmas lunch. Excellent choice for all courses, with all dishes well cooked and presented. Home cooking of the best kind, with a fine wine list. We were too early to enjoy the seasonal menu, but we lunched well on scallops, rabbit and various puddings, with a good bottle of Catalan red. Not inexpensive but everything... More

This specifically Catalan restaurant is a refreshing change from much of the fare we are used to on the high streets and suburbs of the UK. They offer a changing selection of very good tapas dishes as well as main meals and offer a good range of wines. We found that 5 tapas between two of us was plenty. The... More

Lovely service and amazing gin and tonic that was served with anise spice, such a nice touch.. The scallops where incredible and the squid ink rice was 10/10. Only thing that could have been improved was portion size (although I realise it was tapas) Will 100% be coming again, very authentic. Have told all my friends about this gem.
