Booked an afternoon tea as a treat for family following a visit to Castell Coch near by. Despite arriving early they ensured that we were seated and served promptly. Both the sandwiches and cakes were delicious with a good assortment of both. Having seen other delights on offer we took home some Welsh cakes and a slice of corned beef pie, in addition we were given a 'free' slice of apple pie, both of which were consumed later at home and tasted wonderful. Parking in the local car park was free for the first 2 hours as a bonus. So if you are in the area we can strongly recommend this establishment.

Jaspers is a firm favourite for us because you can’t beat the service. We visited today and again received wonderful service from the staff. Upon mentioning that I have coeliac disease, the lady called the chef to come out to me to take my order who understood all the requirements of this dietary need and reassured me that they have a separate grill, separate spread, separate utensils - everything! He went through all the options I could have including GLUTEN FREE SCONES! 😱 Incredible. I got to dine in total confidence and as a bonus the food was delicious too! Thank you Jaspers, I look forward to returning!

looking for something a bit special for our "lockdown" anniversary since we were unable to go out and about. We have been to Jaspers on many occasions and enjoyed the food and I was so pleased to see that they would deliver afternoon tea. I am a vegetarian and my sandwiches were clearly labelled in a separate box away from those for the "meat eater". The bread was delicious , soft light bread and a good amount of filling. The scones, with the jam and cream were melt in your mouth and the Victoria sponge was very light and fluffy. In addition there were 2 small round chocolate filled chocolate eclairs, 2 macaroons, 2 strawberries dipped in white chocolate, 2 chocolate mints and 2 tea bags. It was all nicely presented in a box ready to transfer to my cake stand. Given that we couldn't go out to celebrate this was such a lovely treat and I look forward to being able to go once again in person to the tea rooms. I don't hesitate to recommend Jaspers for takeaway afternoon tea or, when lockdown restrictions are lifted, for a visit.

Known about this place for a while and decided to try out the breakfast. It’s pretty much average. The breakfast menu didn’t have much to choose from so we opted for scrambled eggs and toast (one with salmon). Apparently they are not licensed to fry anything so don’t expect fried egg! I like food to look pretty but don’t put a salad with scrambled egg on toast at 10am. Kids weren’t impressed. It was ok but unfortunately we won’t be visiting again. Food was average and it has more of an old fashioned feel for those who like that kind of thing. Its more of an afternoon tea place. Not for us.

My wife and I ventured out today (Bank Holiday Monday) with a view to having a bite to eat and drink. On arrival we were greeted by the owner and clearly informed about the current conditions and the reduction in tables within the premises. We didn’t have to wait too long before we were allowed in and at the counter was the appropriate screen to protect us and the staff. All good. We ordered a couple of baguettes which were fresh, the bread was warm (lovely) and two extra hot lattes. To finish off, we had some Welsh cakes which were also fresh. In these very difficult times it’s an absolute pleasure to go somewhere where you feel safe and have great service covered by a friendly team. This isn’t the first time we’ve visited Jaspers Tea Rooms and it wont be the last. Thank you, Lee

The staff were friendly when we arrived the afternoon tea was served as soon as we sat down . They were happy to let us sit in the small garden area We booked for 2.30 they close at 4 at 3.30 the staff wanted to take out items away and the cake my daughter was going to eat was picked up and asked if we wanted to take it away as they wanted our plates to wash up as they were closing at 4. For the price there was not a lot to eat as the Sandwiches were made in advance they were not fresh one side of the bread was stale . we had two very small cups of coffee and as the scone and the smallest welsh cake i have ever seen was so dry we had to buy more coffee to wash it down. We did have a small Victoria sandwich they was very good and the meals that came out for other customers look good I would not go again and have afternoon tea we went to a local pub and had chips to fill us up and we have never had to do this before as we go for afternoon tea at different places once a month This is one i wont be going back too

Ordered afternoon tea for my parents wedding anniversary, ordered on a Friday night about 8 O'clock and owner messaged me within minutes to thank me and confirm order. Delivered on the Saturday and I took to my parents as a surprise, looked delicious and parents confirmed this who can be very fussy at times. They also said there was more than enough and the strawberry's were amazing.

I have tried most of the places serving afternoon tea in Cardiff and this is my favourite by a long way. The food is really fresh and tasty. The selection is traditional and would suit most tastes and there is plenty of it. The service is good and the staff friendly. It is also a lovely, quite little spot away from the hustle and bustle of the City Centre. Would highly recommend it.

Thank you to all at Jaspers for delivering a lovely 'take away' afternoon tea for my mother's 85th birthday during lockdown - it made her day! The sandwiches, scones and cakes were all delicious and the gluten free tea tasted every bit as good as the 'normal' one. Communication was excellent too. We would definitely recommend this as a treat and look forward to visiting your tea rooms when you re-open.

I ordered afternoon tea delivery for my grandma’s birthday It was delivered on time and packaged beautifully. I ordered afternoon tea for 3 and 6 cupcakes. When we opened the box I was blown away, everything was so pretty. Sandwiches were light and tasty, actually everything was. There were macarons , tiny Welsh cakes, chocolate mints, strawberries in white chocolate, scones, cream, jam, mini Victoria sponges. Little bit of everything. We all really enjoyed it and it made my grandmas day. Will be a returning customer for sure.

Afternoon tea booked for my fathers 91st Birthday. Delivery made within the allotted time slot. Comments from him were extremely positive, which, if you have aged relatives or friends you will surely know how set in their ways in terms of what they eat are. I called, asked about the offering and all seemed good. Delivered on time in a professional 'Covid' manner Can't thank you enough Keep up the great work!

Didn't think much of Jasper's..A pot of weak tea for two, and Bara Brith for two, £12.00! And I think staff should be given a bit more training than simply dumping a loaded tray onto the table and leaving you to it.. Grim.

Cannot rate Jaspers highly enough. Delivered on time, warm and friendly staff, beautifully fresh sandwiches, scrumptious little cakes, huge scones, individual cream pots and jams. All homemade and very fresh. It was all fabulous and well-presented too. I wouldn't have an afternoon tea from anywhere else!

I ordered an afternoon tea for my friend's birthday so we could celebrate her special day over Zoom. She was really impressed with the presentation and taste of what was included, liked the how everything was stored in tubs and thought there was a good range of different sandwiches and cakes. It was a big success and she is keen to try out Jaspers as soon as possible!

Jaspers was recommended to me by my work colleagues so booked for 6 of us to go there for my friend's 50th birthday. Friendly welcome on arrival & served with tea & coffee within a couple of minutes. Soon after, our cream tea arrived, sandwiches, cakes, scones with fresh Clotted cream & jam, all beautifully fresh & delicious. We had numerous top ups of tea & coffee throughout our visit. The complete visit was superb, service was second to none and food absolutely delicious. Already booked to return for my other friends birthday in August. Thankyou Jaspers Highly recommended !!!!!!!!
