Had the Mothership deal (pie, mash, minted mushy peas and gravy for £9) and 241 cocktails on a Tuesday evening with a friend. Pie was aesthetically pleasing, based on a bed of mash, with the mushy peas on top of the pie with cheese and...More

Superb, friendly and efficient service from the Pieminister Team tonight. Unfazed by our table of 17 vegetarians, they looked after us very well, and the standard of food was, as usual, delicious. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

My son knows the Pieminster in Oxford so we tried this one in Cardiff. If you like pies you will enjoy this chain. A wide variety of flavours in the pies served with some tasty sides for example: sweet potato fries, mushy pies, fresh peas....More

Went as part of a joint graduation/birthday celebration with my wife, son and his partner on a mid-week evening and had not pre-booked. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the facilities, staff, or service. The atmosphere was rather flat - but it was early so...More

All started well. Pies were very good as were the cocktails. The trouble came with dessert. We both ordered the " soft chewy meringue with lemon creme fraiche, coulis and berries. £5. When it came I thought it a little small for the money, but...More

Whatever happened to service? Not even a hello, can I help you, or even an acknowledgement. How long will these chains survive, surely we deserve a little bit of service. But then I'm part of the problem as I sit here waiting for an acknowledgement...More

Fantastic location in the heart of Cardiff. Very tasty pie with all the trimmings also arrived just before 19.00 so managed to benefit from happy hour on cocktails.

You can only book for 6 or more, just turn up if less, quite a quick turnaround, despite what the management may say so stick around (trust what the waitresses say)

Pieminister Cardiff is our flagship restaurant in Wales and is located in the heart of the city on St. Mary's Street. Whilst award-winning pies are what we stand for, there's lots more to try too. Pieminister Cardiff is full of life and the hustle and bustle of the city, so makes a great lunch stop whether you are working, shopping or visiting the city. By night the restaurant turns into a dinning destination with craft ales, wines and cocktails and ice cream pies for pudding.
