At Ridgeway for after funeral get together… haven’t been here since a visit for dinner after the building had been refurbished…. No visit since because of abysmal access and no disabled toilet facilities. Two people in wheelchairs who will not be visiting again because of...inconsiderate owners! You may think we are small number patrons but think on …one day anyone reading this could be in this position. PLEASE Ridgeway look at reasonable adjustments to cater for everyone.More

The service was very slow, the eastern European waitress just spent her time floating around cleaning cutlery I think she thought she was above serving tables and when we asked for service she got someone else to serve us. We waited about 25 minutes to...actually have our order taken despite many of the staff not being busy. The Sunday lunch used to be amazing but today noticed that the quality has dropped significantly the beef was a cheap cut, the veg used to be served on a platter but now just on the plate. Very disappointed with the beef they have cut costs but ruined the quality. No wine list just was told the wine although they did know where it was from. I live close and it's very disappointing. Management need to up the standards here employ better staff who care. The eastern European waitress/supervisor needs to go as the staff clearly had no respect for her and she did not care and did nothing. This business will fail without immediate improvement.More

Has been very good in the past but has gone downhill on the last two visits. We waited 30 mins for our order to be taken, a further 35 mins for our starters ( which weren't very nice ) and a further 30 mins for...our main course ( these were ok ). One good point is that the staff are pleasant and friendly. When asking how long our main course would be, we were told that there was only one chef in the kitchen and he couldn't cope. We are unlikely to return in the near future, shame as we usually enjoy eating here.More

The service here really lets a pub with great potential down. We waited an hour and half for main course and an hour for dessert, they weren’t busy and they said they only had one chef working but this wasn’t explained until we had asked...how long our mains would be. Ideally they should give a heads up before customers sit down. The waitresses were friendly but it just felt like everyone thought it was acceptable to wait this long for a meal, the food came out hot & nice enough but we definitely won’t be returning, the meal was a painfully long experience. Looking at previous reviews this is a continuous issue that clearly needs to be addressed & resolved otherwise the business will no doubt fail. Management clearly need to make some improvements in this area they must be losing so much business as they had to turn walk in customers away, such a shame!More

4th visit in a couple of months but did not order wine as again no wine list!!! Only told what available verbally (red, white or rose). Previous experience £30.00 bottle rose was not a good experience. Food average,

Group of friends from around the area. A good meeting place with good parking. We could eat inside or outside. Excellent & friendly service. We all had different meals. I had a small veggie breakfast that was by no means small. It was all delicious...& would choose again.More

We had the marquee outside for my wife’s 60th birthday, and although it was raining it was great. The buffet we had was amazing there was so much choice and the food was prepared and cooked perfectly. Thanks to all the team at the Ridgeway

What a find! This was booked by my brother in law to celebrate my sister in law's 60th birthday. The table was booked for 10, plenty of space for people to move around and sit comfortably to chat and eat. Everybody ordered what they wanted,...I had the steak and it was probably the best steak I've ever had. It came with a colourful and delicious salad and a pot of incredible Bearnaise sauce that I couldn't finish (but I did try!). My husband had a burger and chips and thoroughy enjoyed it. Desserts all round - I tried Churros for the first time and they were phenomenal. Everybody's dinners looked appetising and I don't think much, if anything, was left. All of the food was hot and, from reports, absolutely 'hit the spot'. It's not the cheapest place to eat but it's value for money as you will get excellent food that is fresh and extremely well cooked; the portions are also very generous. A mention also to the attentive-yet-not-intrusive service, it was very much appreciated. We'll be back, very soon.More

Poor quality from start to finish. House bread with oil and balsamic - awful. Triple cooked chips not good. Nothing tasted good at all - service was pleasant but mediocre in delivery.

Very pleasantly surprised. Saturday evening meal. Four of us. Food really was rather good. Nice staters. Main courses delicious. Puds OK too. Service was good and did not have to wait long between courses. Pity no wine list though. Perfectly acceptable Sav Blanc, but choice...seems limited at present. Will certainly give the place another go.More

We booked afternoon tea for a friends baby shower. From start staff we're friendly and helpful. They put us in a lovely corner where we were able to decorate and play small games. Food was amazing and delicious,so much cake,and the sandwiches was huge. Amazing...value for money, under £20pp. We was also given takeaway boxes to take back home.
