This is definitely the best Indian restaurant in terms of the quality of food (Vojon & Panshee just behind). Although pricey I always leave feeling satisfied with the meal I've had. The only downside to this place is some of their staff. Often rude and have no basic customer service skills. Would still recommend highly though!

Called in on the off chance for a quick take away. The guy that served me was offhand and not courteous.. after taking the order he put my card in the machine and then once it was processed then chucked the card on the counter followed by the receipt. When I got home, only a matter of three minutes the... More

My 16 year old daughter was keen for a curry whilst waiting for her brother to finish band practice in the nearby Brangwyn Hall. I recall 'back in the day' the Anarkali was one of a number of excellent curry houses that had to put up with drunken Kingsway revellers. So, some 25 years later I decided to give it... More

Every item of food was bland and tasteless even the lime pickles in chutney tray were bland (Dont know how they managed that one) curries were swimming in grease and no taste. The chicken was that chewy i would still be sat there a week Wednesday trying to eat it . Needless to say will not be going back

Some time ago I wrote a very positive review of what was my favourite Swansea Indian. No longer. The food and service have deteriorated badly in the last year. Our last, and I mean last visit witnessed elderly grumpy waiters and food (on a Tuesday ) which had clearly been re-heated. The lamb (surely mutton) was so hard it would... More

This is my first review, as I am the least fussiest person, though I've had my fair share of horrific food. My partner and I picked up a takeaway as recommended by family who are regulars. (We usually go to Chillis, which never disappoint). However, got home, opened the bag and there was oil absolutely everywhere... opened the curry and... More

The menu is so extensive. It took us ages to read through the menu. There were dishes from all regions of India. In the end we choose the Goan dishes for our main course dishes. A great choice. We started with Dal (Lentil) soup, which despite the place having such a comprehensive menu, this soup does not actually appear on... More

Unlike the previous review I like most other customers found the service terrible although we only had a takeaway the server was abrupt and rude when we neither ordered rice or chips, preferring to make my own rice using Quality Basmati rather than long grain or broken rice that most restaurants use. When we opened up the not cheap meal... More
