The food was really good and so was the service. A lovely atmosphere. There were four of us with two teens who also loved it. We will definitely be back.

The food here is amazing. Best black bean sauce I’ve tried as it wasn’t salty. Good value for money. Excellent service and friendly staff. Also the decor is very authentic. Fortune cookies were an added bonus. Will definitely be returning.
Had duck to start which was rock hard, so overcooked. It tasted like it had been cooked, set aside for quite some time and then reheated. Hubby had hot soup which was nice and we both liked it. Mains was grilled prawns which were ok,...not what we expected as tasted like black bean sauce but the menu had no descriptions at all, just photo. Order chicken balls too, which were terrible. The batter was raw inside and gooey. Plain noodles tasteless and sticking together in a clump because they were too overcooked. Gigis was practically empty so it's not as if staff were run off their feet. Checked reviews before going, so was shocked at quality of food which was not cheap. A unique restaurant we were excited to go to but now we would never return to this restaurant.More
Dear Mandy, Thank you! We sincerely appreciate your visit! As you mentioned both to us and in this review, that, you were reffered by good reviews which told you how unique Gigi's is not only food but everthing, the whole experience, which is truly what...More
Although more on the pricier side, for a special occasion, I highly recommend this restaurant. The decor is unlike any place I've eaten at and the service was fantastic. The food was amazing, with my personal favourite being the Lazi potatoes, although they are spicier...than they claim in the menu. Note boiled rice comes in small bowls so order more than one if you plan to dine in large groups. Overall, definitely worth a try!More
This restaurant has superb vegan Chinese food. We've been many times, in the past few years, and each time we've enjoyed the meal. Recently (as in the last six months) the food seems to have improved- both in portion size and quality. This is very...much appreciated. We thought it was good before, but this most recent visit was superb. The tofu dishes were the best I've ever had, anywhere. We will return.More
Very different to anywhere I've been to before... Staff are so lovely... Food superb..... Can't recommend this little gem enough
Visited this lovely restaurant with my partner and had an excellent experience. We had King Prawn Stirfry, Lamb with Leeks, Mushrooms and Pak Choi, Egg Fried Rice and to drink a large Tiger beer and Coke. Everything was delicious, excellent service and quirky surroundings The...above came to £54. RecommendMore
Visiting our Granddaughter (University Student) who loves Chinese Food. This was our first visit and will not be the last. Very bright interior, staff dressed in traditional outfits making you feel you are in a quality restaurant. The food was exceptional, with some of our...favourites cooked differently. Every dish was delicious and portions of good size. We didn't finish them all and were sorry to leave food uneaten. All in all a great experience helped by the friendly Chinese ladies.More
This place really panders to folk (it's really decorated with lots of Giant pandas and other Chinese images). This roomy Marina-side restaurant is clean, most comfortable, and does a wide range of authentic regional Chinese dishes made from excellent ingredients. The drinks are also diverse,...especially cocktails. Service is excellent and friendly. It also does a wider range of vegetarian options than is found in most Chinese restaurants. It's easy to see why it has won awards. A memorable experience!More
We came here because of the vegan menu. Food was good. We had the set menu. Starters a bit greasy for me so would probably just stick with mains again. The food was delicious, especially the tofu. Unfortunately the portions of rice were stingy -...one tiny bowl of rice for 3 people. We complained and were given an extra bowl and charged extra for it. My Mum loved the gift with the bill but it’s not exactly environmentally sustainable so would rather do without this and have a decent portion of rice personally.More
Have never been a big fan of your standard Chinese food that we have here in this country . Moved to Wales last year my brother sent me the review by Jay Raynor so we thought we would give it a try . I love...the food here it is so different and tasty . Love the atmosphere, decor . Service is good . Have been twice now love it . Try something that you would not normally have you will be surprised. Thank youMore

Fabulous meal! The decor adds to the experience….sensory overload! Kitsch and slightly crazy but in a good way! Had a fixed menu and added dumplings and noodles, all of which were delicious. Often find Chinese food too salty but this wasn’t…refreshing.
Lovely setting service slow so very expensive ordered a few dishes and a starter to share £93 nearly died !! Had a glass of Rosa and a bottle of cider but come on !More
