We went here for dinner on the first night of a short midweek break and managed to get a table early evening without booking. However, I understand that it does get busy, so booking is probably needed if you want to guarantee a table. The food was excellent, as was the local Jawbox gin. Service was efficient and friendly. It... More

Late lunch post Titanic visit. Arrived cold and hungry to this cozy and busy small restaurant. We were very warmly greater and lucky to be seated so quickly as this was a busy spot for a Wednesday afternoon in November. I really enjoyed the seafood chowder. It was a hearty meal on its own.My friends both enjoyed the fish and... More

We arrived at 12:00 opening time on a Friday lunchtime and easily got a table for 4. By 12:45 all the tables were taken. Service was prompt and efficient. The food was seriously fresh and seriously good. I had a seafood starter that was very creamy. my friends had six oysters each. I had the Mourne Seafood Casserol as a... More

Small but perfectly formed - the restaurant itself is lovely and the staff polite and helpful. We shared a starter of chermoula spiced fishcakes - really tasty, unusual spices. I had the main of whole sea bass with wilted greens and herby roast potatoes. The fish was perfectly cooked. Mt partner had the scallop 'scampi' - crispy little morsels served... More

Wonderfully prepared fresh, local seafood. We started out with mussels in a white wine/cream sauce, which were perfectly done and very flavorful. My wife is not typically a mussels fan, and she loved these. She had the (Belfast) bay scallops, served in a bit of a casserole, and ate every last bit. I had the seafood tureen, full of both... If you like fish this is the place to eat. Food was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. We eat fish a lot and we're delighted with the different menu and style presented. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the whole evening's experience was brilliant. Thank you Mourne seafood.
