Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great meal with excellent service. They even offered us an extra starter for free. The main courses were exceptional. The daube of beef fell apart it was so tender and the sauce was shiny and rich. The mushroom risotto, not an easy dish to...get right, was perfect. Thank you for a great meal.More

Great place - a great atmosphere and the food is delicious. They have a set price of £26.95 for two course and £30.95 for three. If you are in the city, don’t miss out on this gem.

Not my first visit, and will not be the last. Spookily ended up on the same table. So, most importantly the food was excellent and the staff friendly and efficient. Rick Stein had been in recently and I think he would have been proud of...how they cooked my fish. Me: starter: Cod Bites; main: Fillet of Seabass The other one (V): starter: Goat's Cheese Fritters; main: Thai Green CurryMore

Hope Street restaurant is a lovely little hidden gem. It makes up the rear part of a small block, with the entrance round the back. It's very cosy, with a 'family run' feel to it (don't know if that's right!) We were in Belfast for...a long weekend and chose Hope Street restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. It was certainly as good as the reviews indicated. The lady in charge showed us to our booked seats, but then suggested we might prefer one of the booths towards the front. We did. My wife had the goats cheese fritters, then the panfried salmon; I had the chilli beef followed by the daube of beef. All four dishes were absolutely excellent, the kind of food that makes you stop and take stock, its so good. The restaurant operates on a BYOB basis, so you will need to bring your own alcohol (if you want it). They then charge a small 'corkage' fee. Definitely recommended for a cozy dinner experience.More

Highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back. The staff were so attentive & friendly. Went over and beyond to make sure you had the best dining experience. Lots of choice on the menu and very reasonably priced. Our meal was faultless. So fresh...& full of flavour. We were celebrating my mother’s birthday , and they even brought down a beautiful desert with a candle without being asked. Lovely touch that just made the whole experience faultless. Thank you for a fabulous evening. We will definitely see you again soon.More

This is a real gem of a restaurant. Thai beef to start plus a complimentary serving of Fish cakes. Daube of Beef and Sea Bass for mains. Fantastic flavours, presentation and size of portions. BYO beer or wine with a reasonable corkage charge. Overall it...was a fantastic night. We are only here on a 3 night break but have already booked to return this evening.More

Run by Indians but not an Indian menu. Good choice of dishes mainly well cooked. Affordable particularly as you bring your own alcohol.
