called in for a drink on a Saturday afternoon while shopping, bar was busy and there was live traditional music being played, very nice atmosphere and lovely traditional Belfast bar
A classic pub offering fresh beer and live music on most evenings. Food is available for dinner. Check the website upfront for the program.

Third stop on our beer trip, also in the beer guide. I had a bottle of Foxes Rock stout which was excellent. My boyfriend was very indecisive and the bat staff very kindly let him try several of the beers on tap before deciding on...More
We visited The John Hewitt last Saturday evening, about 10pm. The bar was busy, with a nice atmosphere. We only stayed for one drink (before moving onto another nearby pub). Good service, prices and selection of drinks - we'd recommend this pub.
