Small portion butttttttt Good quality which I'd rather have over quantity. One chicken on bread ( Pitta ) with salad and sauce . If you opt for one of these and are feeling hungry do get a side as it's not a big enough kebab to fill a hungry tum . The large kebab on chips : Proper chippy chips... More

It's a chippy/kebab shop so don't expect haute-cuisine but it's excellent value for money and really tasty. Good meal deals every night of the week!

Kebab meat and (foot long beef) handmade sausages made instore by their owns butchers, best quality in the country and awarded as such. Fish is best in the city in my opinion. Burgers are ridiculously good, handmade 6oz grated cheddar cheese and full mixed salad. Sauces are great. At lunchtime the value is epic (several meals and drink for £4... More

Just walk into the sphinx and say 'large on chip'. Get yourself a bottle of coke to wash it down. Magical. I have been to many kebabers all over the world but this one is truly the best. I live overseas but when I come back to Belfast I would visit this place before I visit my family.

Still waiting for my food, ordered over an hour and a half ago. Complete disgrace! Staff not very helpful on the phone either.

I've been visiting the Sphinx for over 25 years now and it's still my first port of call whenever I come home to Belfast. Good quality meat and chips and the best kebab sauce in the UK. My favourite takeaway. My parents love it too.

The food that I've had has been pretty good, a schwarma type kebab is the only type available rather than donner. Which is a nice change. However, there is 1 particular dark haired girl who has the most negative, cold, rude, sour faced attitude that has made me not go back. Her manner with customers is awful; I suspect she... More

**Used to REALLY love the kebabs. Chips were always a bit underdone & very mediocre. Tonight chips were soggy & so tightly wrapped they came out in one big mushy lump. To add insult to injury the kebabs were so SALTY (and cold despite only a 3 minute journey home) that we couldn't eat them. SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED... More

I'm guessing the people who rated this place terrible must be the owners of the other kebab shops and their friends. It's no.1 in Northern Ireland. Beef gyro folks. Game changer!
