Small restaurant that I have been going to for years. The quality of food never lets me down. The menu doesn't change much however each time I alternate my choice from Fish to meat. A must is the side of garlic potatoes. For the adventurous a starter of frogs legs which although a small potion as good as in France.... More

Went here with a group of 15 people. Food was lovely and staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Food was served in a timely manner, portions were well cooked with lots of flavour and very generous. Everyone in the group was very happy with their food. We had 3 courses for £19.95 so the pricing was very competitive and... More

I've lived around the ormeau for around ten years and have always heard good reviews so went with friends. Looks terrible from the outside with it's 80s net curtains, not appealing to me personally, very cramped inside, there are too many tables and chairs and a nightmare if you need the bathroom but I still remained optimistic. I'm usually a... More

Very French - small, reliable menu. All meals our party of four had were expertly cooked and delicious, I urge you to try the rack of lamb! A real treat to go to Etoile- without the frills- but also without the expensive wine bill. Magnifique!

We had a supper night, with great food, very friendly service. I had the special, rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly. It's nice to go a restaurant that's created an atmosphere true to its name

Food was decidedly average. Ordered the pork roast which menu said came with mashed potatoes, must have been about a small spoonful of mash below the pork and barely noticeable. Girlfriend had the duck and it was tough. Was looking forward to our visit but would not be in a hurry back.

Booked L'Etoile after it had been recommended by friends. Waitress was very friendly, decor is nice but food was tasteless. It seemed as though we had got cheap frozen food, the veg was clearly from a supermarket frozen Isle. Fish and duck was tough and bland. And sauté garlic potatoes seemed as if they were deep fat fried in year... More

I have been here quite a few times and although the tables are quite close together it does detract from the fantastic food. Well worth a visit.

Terrific little restaurant on the Ormeau Road in Belfast. Atmosphere is wonderful, waiting staff attentive and full of craic and the food is sublime. As a bonus ....... bring your own wine! Would recommend it to anyone.
