I have enjoyed this restaurant best using the upper floors in group events and ordering anything else than sushi. When I ordered sushi the rice was poorly prepared. It tasted just like normal rice, no vinegar.

Visited just for a quick light dinner at late hours (just before closing) very satisfied with the staff, and with the food as well! Tried two type of soups, 4 different hand roles, they were all delicious! Would visit anytime again!

Regularly visit Sakura for lunch and dinner (not always in the same day). The food here is lovely for either meal. For lunch I regularly choose from the reasonably priced lunch menu and get the Japanese dumplings for started and the chicken strip fried Udon for main. You can also pick some sushi trays from the sushi train while you... More

We love to visit Sakura when we're in the area. The sushi train is great, I love the salmon nigiri and maki. There is lots to try from the sushi train. Their hot food is great too - we've tried the honey chilli chicken and teriyaki beef, both which are great. The lunch menu during the week is good -... More

Brought my fiancé here for his first time eating sushi, the sushi train and mixed platter were great and allow him to sample a variety. We really enjoyed our visit in terms of the different experience and tasty food - but felt like the service was unatentive and at times we were made to feel awkward we are not knowledgeable... More

I popped in with my niece for a bite to eat and was so impressed. The lunch deal before 5pm is very good value. We'll be back

Lunch offering is quite varied. There was the option of the sushi conveyor, special lunch offer or a la carte menu. We opted a la carte sushi and took 4 different rolls (6 pieces in each) at £6.80 each. Although we knew what we wanted we couldn't find the exact combination so just asked the waitress. I think this is... More

This was the 4th time I've went to Sakura for a casual dinner and it's a great experience. Friendly and efficient staff, great quality sushi, nice sake. Not sure why they offer to serve it hot as I was never offered hit sake in Tokyo, but that's not a complaint. Would highly recommend the tempura mix and salt n chilli... More

Called in on the off chance of getting a bite to eat before going to a gig and sat at the sushi bar as it was quite busy . Served immediately and sampled the mango prawn rolls which were tasty but slightly lukewarm . We both ordered duck... I had crispy mango duck in sauce £10.80 with chips £2.50 and... More

It's been a few years since we visited Sakura, but I'm pleased to see that nothing much has changed. The sushi and sashimi platter was excellent although I would much prefer if they didn't include crab stick.Surely a piece of mackerel can't be that much dearer? Oddly the soy sauce on the table tasted distinctly sweet, but this was swiftly remedied... More
