Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went here on Sunday as a family of 4. This is our second time here and we were really disappointed with the food. The roast potatoes were poor and didn’t taste nice at all. The children’s crispy chicken goujons were not crispy at all....The service was of a high standard but we won’t be rushing back.More

Just home from a great meal at the Anzac. All courses were beautifully cooked and though we initially thought slightly small starters we can barely move for being stuffed. My wife had halloumi fries then scampi and gave both a good 8+ out of ten....I had the soup then hake and would give an 8 and 9 1/2 out of ten. Great food, great staff and a great venue - not badly priced either.More

We were recommended the restaurant by our host and took a chance on getting in without reservations. We were greeted by Peter who explained that there was only one table left for the evening but it was a little over an hour before we could...claim it. We decided to wait and we were glad we did! We passed the hour down in the first floor bar. A Guinness and a glass of wine were excellent company but the woman commanding the bar was kind and warm as well. She even let us take a short cut behind the bar to get to our reservation quicker when the time came. Once upstairs, Peter took excellent care of us. My wife ordered the Hake and I had the Ribeye. Both were excellent!!! We enjoyed the meal so much that we booked again for tomorrow night! Thanks Peter! We look forward to seeing you again!More

Don't miss the opportunity to dine here. This is the best meal we had in Ireland! Peter gave us excellent service and I got exactly what he recommended, The Hake with prawns and chorizo with a rich creamy sauce and my husband had moist and...tender Ribeye with Bushmills whisky sauce. Super happy we came here! We already made reservations for tomorrow!More

We had a super evening on Saturday night. A group of 12 (not so young) girls! The food was delicious, served in good time, hot and served with a smile. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Fintan and Team.

Following recommendations from a few locals, we booked during the week for family meal. Very pleasant restaurant setting and extremely friendly staff. Greeted and seated with full explanation of dishes and advised on wine selections to match. Food was absolutely fantastic with very unique matching...flavours for each combinations on the plates. Very professional service topped off an excellent family meal that was a tribute to the front and back house staff. Lamb, salmon and hake dishes were good portions and great tasting. Will defo be back when up that way again.More

What an excellent experience at Anzac. From our first greeting from Fintan, ordering with Peter and food service from Emma; everything was faultless. The staff were at all times friendly yet professional, and our food was absolutely superb. We have travelled widely through all continents...and have had many wonderful experiences, but sometimes we find that special restaurant at home in Northern Ireland that outshines them all. Well done to all at Anzac.More

Absolutely delicious food, the service, the friendliness and overall experience was just amazing, we were just so sorry we only got to experience it on the last day of our holidays. This restaurant is off the main road and from the outside, does not look...that inviting, but trust me, the food was outstanding.More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend from Ballycastle while we were spending a couple of nights in the town to attend an Irish dancing festival. 2 families of 4. I had the Spanish chicken with garlic chips which was sensational. Two other...adults had the sticky sesame chilli chicken which they thoroughly enjoyed. For dessert I opted for the apple and cinnamon crumble which was sizeable and delicious. Staff were really friendly and a bit of craic. Always reassuring to see a busy restaurant turning tables around quickly.More

I visited Anzacs today in Ballycastle, with my wife & daughter, where I have ate previously before and enjoyed the experience However, today, (Sat 30 th March, 4.50pm), I went into into the Bar, for Bar food, because the restaurant was fully booked. I went...to the bar, ordered drinks and asked to order Bar food, the bar man said I could sit upstairs at a table, got there at 4. 50pm, sat for 15 mins, getting blank looks from staff, baldy/bearded (employee) black shirt, cam over eventually with forks/knifies and napkins, but no menu, thought that was strange, sat for a further 30 minutes, with no employees coming to us. Eventually same bar man came past & removed menu, my wife got up and confronted him, telling him we haven't ordered, and it was a disgraced, and apologised, as we left, a "overweight bar manger" approached us with a aggressive argumentative manner and attitude, telling what was our problem, we shouldn't have sat there, although advised otherwise, by one employee and receiving cutlery from another. With no apology and no level of customer orientated service. At this point, I, my wife & daughter were disgusted the way we were handled, served and treated, coupled with the lack of quality service, treatment from staff, and more importantly, the treatment or lack of, from the 'Bald/Bearded employee' & 'Bar Manager' with there disgraceful attitude, unappropriate language, unfriendly,/unwelcoming family friendly atmosphere and customer quality service were completely absent. But what really made me angry was there arrogant, unapologetic and dismissive attitude. If anyone wants a quality service, good food, value for money and welcoming family friendly welcome, visit Nellie Ruas, which we went afterwards. To Anzacs, if your all concerned, your management and staff need customer refresher training. From a Ballycastle resident who won't ever set foot back in Anzacs. Service is everything, and repeat customers are your bread and butter.More
