Used to love Poppy Smith's when Michelle owned it but since she has left it has gone badly downhill. I usually pop in a couple of times a week for my lunch (ckn salad) but not going back! Portions ALOT smaller and prices are way up. The staff are a disaster! I gave them the benefit of the doubt for... More

I go to this restaurant maybe once every couple of months and have been sadly disappointed on the last 3 occasions. This morning I ordered a fry and waited and waited and am still waiting. Extremely annoying as this is not the first time this has happened. Asked for a refund and they told me 2 minutes! You can have... More

Recommended to us by staff at the planetarium. Freshly-prepared food, decent quality, large portions, reasonably prices, served with a smile. What's not to like? Oh, and the best-tasting double espresso I had during our 5-day visit to Ulster - not the strongest, but definitely the tastiest.

Good choice of food and this place is usually busy so car parking can sometimes be a problem. The desserts are huge but lovely. No table service so you will have to queue to order your food but they may bring it down for you if there is a wait.

Right next door to a Chinese take-a-way. Poppy Smiths is a small Café and is a quiet place to have a meal. Almost everything is home made and is of a consistent High Quality. Some small cafes try to have you out of the door as soon as you've finished the meal. Poppy Smiths is Nothing Like your Typical Café... More

Called in for lunch and were greeted by friendly attentive staff. You make your selection from a buffet style selection in which there is a good variety of choices. Our lunch was very tasty with plenty on the plate. There was a selection of desserts. We opted for the cheesecake which was delicious. Great spot with an informal family atmosphere.

Had a fabulous family lunch. Food was great quality, good portion sizes and served really quickly. Reasonably priced too. Desserts are a must.

Had lunch here to-day and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The place is spacious and spotlessly clean. The lady who served us was both competent and polite, nothing was any trouble. The food was of good quality and beautifully presented. We will definitely return.
