Myself and my sister had lunch there on Sunday while staying at the Slieve Donard. We waited for a long time for a table even though it wasn't that busy. It looked promising when we were seated at the window but it was all downhill from there. Both the beef & pork dinners were average and not up to the... More

Cocktails were nice, Salad was lovely, main meal had the beef and chuncky chips, the presentation was beautiful, but didn't taste as nice as it looked. Desert, I was very disapointed it was the selection of icecream looked like the old 3layer icecream you used to get and tastes very similar nothing to shout about. The staff were very friendly... Visited here for dinner one night last week. This restaurant is part of the Slieve Donard Hotel complex. The staff were very friendly and the food of high quality. Would definitely be happy to dine here again.

Was heading to Newcastle last Sunday with the family and booked a table in advance at Percy French for Sunday Lunch, I had requested a table overlooking the sea, which was no problem and the kids loved watching the tide go out, it's just as well we had some view as the service was very slow. I thought the Caesar... More

The Percy French was very rustic, almost dirty in some aspects and out dated. The salad to start was amazing, staff were very attentive and could do nothing more to help. Personally I found the roast... More

Absolutely can't fault the restaurant food or staff. Great choice and different options made selection difficult. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Restaurant was really busy but service and quality was fantastic.

Lunch on a cold day, but the the heating was inadequate, and other diners were sitting with their coats on. They did turn the radiators up, but that should have been done before guests arrived. The food was ok, but nothing to make me want to return.

Staying in the slieve donard for two nights so we decided to walk the 150 yrds or so to the Percy French for an evening meal. We hadn't booked a table but were told we could eat in the bar off the restaurant menu. Our order was taken by Dylan, who didn't have a docket book to write our order... More
