Dropped in for a quick lunch. Couldn’t fault the food. Have seafood chowder with so much prawns/cod in. Sandwiches packed full with filling - pulled pork so tasty and chicken in other sandwich so tender.
A great find. Will be back!

Great Jones has friendly welcoming staff and a fantastic choice of food, which was top notch. The 🍹 cocktails were also excellent, high recommend the White Russian and Sea Breeze. Hopefully another visit soon.

Great food. Great service, friendly welcoming staff even with a wheelchair. Just really helpful but no fuss. Meal was served promptly no rush, no pressure, lots to eat great quality. Tempting menu so hard to choose. Good early bird special too. Not so noisy you...can't chat. Love the art work...wish it was on sale. Couldn't manage dessert...next time. Beer was ice cold and decent brand. Thanks.More

Portions very generous and food was 10/10. Price is extremely good and service was brilliant. Exactly what a restaurant should be.

Was recommended this restaurant by the owners sister who overheard me saying l was looking for somewhere to have lunch. My husband and brother had Haddock, chips and mushy peas and l had the Chicken piri piri salad. I have to say ,it was absolutely...delicious and good size serving. The fish and chips were freshly cooked, in fact the fish burnt my husbands tongue a bit🤣. I didn't catch the waiter's name but he was very polite and friendly. If you're looking for a tasty lunch at a reasonable price try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.More

My husband and I had a georgous late lunch here today.
Varied lunch menu, nice decor, staff very friendly and efficient.
I had the seafood chowder and its up there with the best I've had, with huge prawns, salmon, halibut, potatoes and vegetables in a...delicious chowder with wheaten bread.
My husband said his burger was delicious but after trying mine said he wished he'd gone for it instead!
Highly recommended, and I thought prices were reasonableMore

The waiter recommended going for the goat’s cheese & beetroot for starter. It was beautiful. For main course I went for the seafood linguine. Lovely flavours. Server was on point. Worth a visit and won’t cost a fortune.

Definitely the best restaurant in Newcastle in regards to quality of food and value for money. Went with our grown up son on Easter Sunday. The food was excellent and at £30 for 3 courses it was real value for money. We all had different...dishes and all were delicious. This restaurant just gets better and better.More

Great wee restaurant. Went for tea and food their early bird special at £18.50 which was 2 courses. I had carrot and lentil soup and my husband had squid...both were excellent. I had wild mushroom risotto for main and added prawns, my husband had the...burger. Food was fantastic, service was great and very enjoyable meal. It cost around 60 quid which was bottle of wine and a pint. It was disappointing that when paying they did not allow to add extra to bill to include a tip which was deserved by waitress.More

We had booked online for 8pm on St Patrick’s Day. Lovely ambience and the food came reasonably promptly. I ordered the sirloin medium rare, my daughter the same but medium, my wife ordered the Seafood Linguine.
All the dishes were perfectly cooked, the steaks especially....My wife really enjoyed the Seafood Linguine, saying it was the best she had ever tasted.More

Yummy food and nice atmosphere
We booked a table for two on a Saturday night. We were given a table beside the door which was unfortunate as crafty despite the heavy curtain .
The food is very good - meun is quite small and no...specials were offered or available when I asked about any specials they said it was due to a shortage of chefs
We had pork tacos and chicken wings for starter. Both delicious but taco shells are not home made.
Beef laksa curry and steak for mains. Steak cooked perfectly and flavour was great.
Naan bread is from. Packet but curry was flavoursome but very heavy with cream element . The thick cut chips are delicious.
We had sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant for dessert both were tooth achingly sweet but delicious! One of the few restaurants that have chocolate fondant on the menu. The butterscotch sauce with the sticky toffee pudding is very thin and runny .
Overall delicious food and good service . Few elements throughout the meal come from a packet so that’s why it’s a 4/5 from me.More
