My husband and I dined here one Thursday evening at the beginning of December. I opted for the seabass fillet and my husband took the turkey and ham dinner. My seabass came with a chorizo sauce which I thought was an odd accompaniment but I tried it anyhow. Personally, I found it overpowered the fish and did not enhance the... More

I've attended a few weddings in the Belfray Country Inn and eaten in the restaurant on Mothers Day and can honestly say the service and food was top quality. The place is run like a tight ship, with each table at the wedding having its own buzzer to summon a waiter/waitress. You will want for nothing at a function here.... More

I 'dined' in the Belfray today for boxing day lunch with my two daughters in the Bistro. I don't know who the chef is but they apparently are unable to cook a fillet steak medium. My daughter's first steak came out well done, it was sent back and after a long wait another came out, again well done without a... More

Had the most fantastic roast dinner. Food was superb with a large piece of turkey and ham with all the trimmings. I was with my mum and she had the same. The place was very busy but there was no gap in the service as the staff were just fantastic. The desert menu was great I would have eaten all... More

We called for coffee on our way to Donegal. Ordered coffee and scones. The scones were fresh (2 per portion) arrived and were freshly baked and lovely. They were served with butter, jam and unfortunately artificial cream..... the coffee was very good but served mildly warm, possibly due to very cold cups. The Belfray is a convenient pit stop between... More

Went here with family on Sunday night for a special occasion and it was amazing from start to finish. From the welcome to to goodbye everything was faultless. We had a variety of starters which were all great and the steaks for the main courses were cooked to perfection. Keep up the good work as we will be definitely returning.
