Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So so poor. Goodfellas pizza would be 10 times better. Beef burger was dreadful. There are loads of great spots to eat in Derry, this is not one of them. Avoid at all costs.

Food was very decent. 3 taco for me, salmon for her. Good size portions and very decently priced. Set us up with a table when already very busy. Lost the 5th point on using bottles sweet chilli sauce, and lack of depth in the sour...cream on the chilli and sour cream potatoes. Waiting staff were top notch though. Will defo try again.More

Absolutely beautiful meal beef Sunday dinner and Turkey. Adequate portions per person, meat both melt in your mouth could not fault the meal and served very quickly.I would return in and recommend highly as my partners daughter is at university at Derry staff amazing the only...thing that put us off is although the young staff are fantastic the older lady maybe supervisor red hair lady glasses made our experience so uncomfortable, unwelcoming, angry and ordering younger staff around in an aggressive manor.I myself work in hostility and it's a hard job and keyboard warriors wanting a reaction but a cold welcoming making people feel unformforable and talking down to younger staff is costing the business and other staff their jobs.We all have bad days but the paying customer is payen your bills and have no idea what they are going through! A smile and poliness cost nothing please don't let this put anybody off as rest off staff and food amazingMore

We were attracted into this pub by the sign outside which describes the historic nature of the building. There is a restaurant area further into the building, but we sat in the bar area at the entrance. It was an unremarkable room other than the...barman, and a group of regulars at the bar. They dominated the room with X rated language. Definitely one to avoid.More

We ate here after a day exploring Derry. It was a nice spot and food was reasonably priced. When it came to dessert, unfortunately the kitchen had run out of a few options including vanilla ice-cream which meant I had the brownie instead... not a...bad 3rd choice though 😉More

We ate off the mates menu. £14 for 2 courses is amazing value. We all had different starters which were all fantastic. The fish cakes were sensational and a good portion. Everyone enjoyed their main courses. Sweet potato fries and bacon fries were excellent. My...only complaint was I didn’t have room for desert. I was looking forward to jam sponge and custard!!! The wine was beautiful. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The manager called over for a chat and as usual was friendly and chatty. Have already booked my next night thereMore

Absolutely fantastic good. The best side order in their bacon fries. I had a steak sandwich which was cooked perfectly and my friend had the lasagne which she said she didn’t want to end. Amazing service and very friendly staff. Very attentive but not in...your face. Even their lovely pleasant manager stoped by for a chat which is always a good sign. Silver street never fails to deliver. Their food is always sensational. I’m already planning my next visit.More

Super cool atmosphere in the oldest bar in Derry. Don’t be deceived by the cafe or the old-man pub entrances; this is a nice restaurant, you just have to walk to the back. Love the high ceilings, booths and overall decor. This is exceptional food...for a reasonable price, plus the service was great. We split the 14 pound, two-course meal, which was perfect for two people (but we don’t eat large portions and we weren’t super hangry). You could also just sit at the bar and watch sports/relax with a beverage too. We are so glad we stumbled upon this place!More

We went to silver street recently for lunch and what an experience it was. We sat down and were given grubby menus to look over and we ordered from one of the most abrupt servers, needs some training. We noticed that the lamp shade above...us was badly stained and the table was dirty. Fingernails were on the floor under our table and the food was average at best. The booth we were in was filthy and we were beyond shocked and disappointed. We didn't complain, we couldn't get out quick enough. Standards have slipped here big time. We won't return.More

me and my family ate here earlier today. Spicy chicken pasta bland and potatoes over cooked. Curry tasted like chemicals and poor amount of rice. Barely acknowledged by staff. Will not eat here again.

Visited here on a Friday night, Staff at door didn’t even say hello, I gave out booking name and she walked away to table leaving us standing unsure if we should follow her and very confused, Had to complain about rude staff which only made...things worse, left waiting on starters for 50 minutes. Food was then thrown down, never came back to check on us or order more drinks Food was nice but nothing special, Nice venue but I would avoid going due to terrible attitude of all those thereMore

Recently had dinner in the River Inn with my hubby. The location is very central and we liked the decor. The food was delicious we had the hot n spicy chicken pasta and the lasagna, the portions were big. The cocktails were good and I...can recommend the gin fix cocktails. We had the jam pudding and Malteses meringue which were both delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely return.More
