Great value and delicious food, not to mention the fascinating view of Aberdeen harbour. We had the pork fillet starter which is amazing value - large portion of the tenderest pork fillet on a really tasty bed of green beans and peas with balsamic onions and a rhubarb compote - delicious. Then we had the half lobster which was tender and succulent. Amazing garlic butter sauce (had to ask for the recipe), crisp chips and tasty salad. We love watching all the harbour activity - two huge boats were being loaded up and guided out while we ate and we saw the dock where the lobsters had bern landed this morning!! Great service and a really unusual place to visit. Highly recommend

Our group ate at this restaurant, and we preordered. I had the salmon, and it was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly. We were seated as a group on the top floor. I also experienced my first Scotch Egg for an appetizer. The presentation of both items was beautiful. The Scotch egg was served with this chutney sauce that was excellent. We asked the manager if we could have the recipe, and he said he would ask the chef. We walked out with the recipe! Thank you! The egg itself was delicious. An egg is wrapped in a type of sausage and then breaded and deep fried I believe. The manager was very friendly, and he chatted us up a bit. Very nice young man. The service was excellent.

We were initially met with a warm welcome upon entering 210 bistro, however unfortunately this was the only pleasant aspect of the night. Upon receiving the medium rare steak requested, I cut into it and was greeted with a raw bloody mess, when I say raw, the steak was raw, a blue steak would typically be cooked for longer. To this day I’m still unsure if the cow was even pronounced dead during the kitchen accepting delivery of the meat. Upon complaining our waitress shared our disgust, exclamining that even the sight of the steak was making her feel sick. The staff kindly offered to remove the steak from the final bill and as an apology offered a free round of drinks, all fair and well until the final bill actually came. We were greeted with nothing less than the expectation that we were to pay for the steak, when questioned it was explained that this was down to the head chefs discretion and that the bill would be looked at again to remove the steak. When the second revision of the bill was received, the steak was in fact removed however the “complementary” drink had now made a mysterious apperance on the receipt. Utterly baffling. As well as the drinks now being charged, the waitress also made it very known that she didn’t appreciate being “annihilated” by the customers, despite us being as polite as humanly possible in such a situation. It should also be noted that the whole experience took 2 hours, meaning that our reservation at a cocktail bar was missed. If there is one takeaway from this meal, it’s that I will never be visiting this establishment for as long as I live, which judging by the done-ness of the mouthful of steak I consumed won’t be long. I would love to hear from the restaurant manager to discuss how the establishment deems this encounter as suitable treatment of paying customers.

We were there for the office Xmas party. We had to wait in the stairwell for 40 minutes to even get in to the room as it still was not set up. We’d been told to arrive 7pm to eat 7.30. We eventually got in at 7.40 for arrival drink-(the bar downstairs was so mobbed it was impossible to wait down there or get a drink). We finally got our starter at 8.30. At 12.08 a male member of staff called for silence and said hope you had a good night but “basically we want to go home so we need you out”. Our desserts had only been served at 10.30 so it limited time for dancing before the imposed curfew. The same member of staff then took my half finished glass of wine from in front of me, and I said “excuse me I’m still drinking that” which was met with a sarcastic sorry. Once I’d finished he appeared again, picked up my empty glass and said (again sarcastically) “is it ok to take it now???” I said yes it was because it was now empty. Absolutely awful behaviour which topped off a chaotic night-none of which was the fault of the person in the office who organised the event. The blame lay with Bistro 210, the fact they’d obviously had an afternoon booking that had overrun, impacting on our night, then rude and hostile members of staff kicking us out early regardless of the fact we’d got in later than we had booked for! Will never go back. Food distinctly average too, although the salmon starter was nice.

This restaurant is dreadful. Frozen tasteless food heated up. Nothing home made. The soup was thick tinned tomatoes which tasted of nothing. The pudding was frozen pie. The place was empty the whole lunch time and the only waitress wore slippers and joggers. Never again!!ha

Very disappointing. I booked private room for my 50th and had someone come to decorate room before arriving she advised me that the manager Darren was rude to her when she arrived and told her to stop whilst he was speaking to some random person. I was advised £20 per head and I paid for extra 2 as they couldn’t go but didn’t want to say. Now checking bill I have been given a £30 service charge which I was never advised about. After settling drinks and food bill no one came to me and asked if everything was ok, so we just up and left even though we had room for another hour and half. Wasn’t willing to spend any more money. Will say food was lovely and bar staff was pleasant enough. But just found the guy Darren very off - not sure if he owner or manager but seriously needs to brush up on manners if he wants people though that door! Everyone asked me today how Bistro 210 was - gave them the honest answer- won’t be back!

Unfortunately not what I expected going by menu and previous reviews. Paid £46 for 3 course Christmas meal, including service charge and excluding drinks. Had a nice private room. Service ran late due to previous sitting. Lots of different groups going about not knowing where they were meant to be. My starter of pate was quite nice, but had 2 small slices of chicken which were wet and looked like they were straight out of a packet. Main course was salmon wrapped in sole but looked more like fried scampi. Totally over done. Cheese board was quite non descript, nothing special. I don't like to give negative reviews but I wouldn't hurry back. Poor value for money and they need to get their act together for better managing multiple groups.

This restaurant was the strangest place. Very atmosphere less and seemingly manned by untrained (very young) staff. It felt like an day at a conference centre which had just opened and had to cater for people when they had no experience. For the first half of the meal, there was no music on which only contributed to the strange atmosphere - it was really odd that the staff didn’t seem to notice and everyone sat around was clearly feeling a bit awkward with everyone being able to hear conversation. My daughter ordered soup which she sent back as it was cold and watery, My husband had cod which he was ok but the gnocchi ( which I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews) was literally inedible. We all tried a bit and it was slimy and not really like gnocchi. It’s so weird that other reviews mention it and they’ve not done anything about it - hence the one star. It feels, here, like they don’t really care or respond to criticism. That it’s money making but they’re not concerned with quality of food, service or atmosphere. Waiter was po faced with the soup and was still on bill - he was so young I wondered if he’d had any training. In other restaurants, when you raise a concern, they usually offer you something else (didn’t) or at least don’t charge you.

We went to the tasting menu night (Thursdays). The food was amazing - innovative, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I had avocado salad, veggie haggis scotch egg, and apple pie with calvados ice cream. It was a very high standard for the price - fresh and homemade, top quality ingredients. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, but not overbearing. The evening ambiance was lovely too, with subdued lighting, real pillar candles, and amazing views over the harbour. Highly recommended to others.

I had been wanting to treat the girlfriend to a date night, and after hearing good reviews from work colleagues, I really wanted to try 210 Bistro. After contacting them on messenger we were offered the Sky Bar which overlooks Aberdeen's harbour.. what a perfect way to spend a romantic evening. First thoughts of walking into the Sky Bar were great, a lovely modern & light restaurant with glass windows overlooking a beautiful sunset, we were shown to our table by a very friendly member of staff and shown the specials menu which was on a chalkboard and was positioned at your table. The menu is really well laid out with options of lobster, burgers, steak to fish & chips, all sourced locally in the area & at great prices. We started off with the Bread Board & Bon Bons which came out in no time at all, cooked perfectly and tasted great, the Girlfriend had Half Lobster and I had the burger all to which were cooked to perfection. To finish it had to be the Creme Brulee a personal favourite and this was the best I had ever had... brilliant to share! From start to finish 210 Bistro made it a lovely evening for myself & the girlfriend, we really enjoyed the food & the ambiance, it was great to get dressed up for the evening to enjoy a few drinks and good company. Will definietly be back!

What a beautiful meal. Hogmanay special so it was set menu but it was cooked beautifully and quality of food exceptional. Beef wellington was soft and melted in your mouth . I couldn’t manage dessert so chef packed it up with instructions to bake it at home. How wonderful

Organised a private dining event for our staff Christmas party to be held on the first floor restaurant. The communication between Adele, Molly and myself was great, all my requests were met without any issue. On the evening of party the bar downstairs was absolutely rammed, I understand this was with previous party diners and also my colleagues waiting to get up to the restaurant and I was made aware that the bar may be busy prior to be being seated in the restaurant. My only issue with this is that we were late being let into the restaurant which resulted in my colleagues being left on stairwell waiting to be let into whilst restaurant was turned around, I understand that it’s a really busy time of year but my suggestion would be maybe give yourselves a longer turn around time, I could have organised for us to come later rather than waiting. There was a slight mix up with one of the tables choice of menu, again these things happen and it was rectified swiftly and Adele and Molly were on hand and kept me up to date with was what was going on. I have no complaints about the food, it was of the standard I’d expect for a large party. I’m leaving a 3 star review due to an incident that happened at the end of the evening which I feel really let 210 Bistro down and left a bitter taste to the end of a pleasant ( if not a little chaotic at times) evening. At 12, a guy came through and very rudely shouted that we all needed to leave, he had stuff to do the next day. I have no idea who this was, he had certainly not been one of our waiting staff. He had practically tried to remove a colleagues glass of wine from her hand, his attitude was terrible, I think it would have been fair to let diners finish their last drink without having to feel like they were a hindrance, especially seen as we were late being let into the restaurant. Again, this is no reflection on Adele, Molly and rest of team that served us, who were spot on.

Went here on a date night with my husband and unfortunately we were not very impressed by the service or the food. Our starters were nice but when it came to the main courses it was disappointing, I had the duck breast which didn't really taste of anything and my husband had the steak which was over seasoned and the fat wasn't cooked. The staff didn't offer him any alternative eg veg when he asked could I have something else instead of mushroom and tomato please nothing was done about it. For what you get its overpriced and the service is poor, no one came over to our table to see how things were which isn't good. I don't think we will be back due to the quality of the mains and poor service from the staff.

Very disappointed in the quality of the steak. We both wanted the Ribeye Steak but they only had one, so we decided to both have the Sirloin. When it arrived the waiter became confused as to which one was medium or medium to well done, , he ended up giving us both the wrong steak as we could identify them by the different sauces we had ordered. After cutting into mine I realised mine was rare , I complained and the waiter took it away and brought it back again once cooked to what I had asked for. Whilst the steak was replayed, the cut chips were cold as these were not a new portion. The steak whilst cooked better , it had no real flavour . When the bill arrived they had taken off the bread as an apology, whist this was acceptable I certainly would not recommend anyone waste their money on eating steak at this restaurant and choose something else.
